The fascist party had no majority in parliament in 1922 and Benito Mussolini made a military golpe named "marcia su Roma". The king of Italy named VittorioEmanuele III that was the chief commander of the army didn't oppose to this golpe and named Benito Mussolini as Prime Minister. The parliament was broke up. So with the armistice the king wanted save his monarchy from the ageement with Mussolini. After the war the king abdicated to his son that was named Umberto II also in this case to save the monarchy. But a referendum of italians decalred the finish of the kingdom in Italy. During the fascist regime the king had also signed the law against jewish people italian citizens in 1938 that had to escaped or hidden not to be shipped in german laghers.
