    The Malta story in world war 2 is an amazing story of guts, bravery, starvation, determination, siege fortitude and resolution at the highest standards of human experience and endeavour. The air war is but a part but, as fascinating and compelling as any other aspect.. and the fairey albacore. another fascinating aeroplane.

    I'd love to know what Squadron this is. My Great Uncle was a Albacore pilot with 821 NAS in Malta in '43.

    Malta during WWII (1940-45) was the British Empire's airfield to bomb Italy and Tunisia,and of vital importance for the landings in Sicily and Calabria.
