What you found was a oil fired heater and your at what was a stamp mill which makes that a major mine was close by.
Those branches on that tree look like they could snap riggt off.

The big rusty box is the remains of an old oil-burning heater. Safe Journey.
Ah, an oil burner! That box looked similar to a fire-heated boiler used in an old hunting lodge we stayed in. The fireplace had a radiator of water pipes mounted on the back wall, a single pipe ran out the side into a radiator on the other side of the main room and into a series of radiator in three or four bunk rooms. The kitchen had it's own radiator setup from the wood-fired stove and oven.
Okay, I love "Wife" (Susan), she's a pullup machine, a hiking machine, and a demanding machine, so her trail name should be Machine! Just sayin! ;) Oh hell no! There is only ONE real RR. ;) ;) Ah, good to hear that the upcoming snow feels exciting and intimidating. Oh, keep going "Husband" (Bird Call). The Man Card is at the top of the tree. Travel safe! And, Happy trails!

My old fireboss told me that all the Indian kids on the Klamath NF would climb to the top of the trees on ridge lines and ride in circles when the wind was strong.

That's an ideal tree for climbing! When we were kids, my neighbors and I would have built a tree house or fort on trees like that. Too bad it looks dead (the thick branches are likely to snap under you). :-)

There can only be one Road Runner. I think you should make sure to pass by the other Road Runner imposter and let him or her know it, rub it in, and say “beep beep” as you scamper on down the trail. Although i also believe everybody should get a new trail name for each new long-distance trail. The whole idea of the trail name is that you get to become someone else with each thru-hike, rather than clinging to a former a (illusory) self. You aren’t a ‘dancer’ any more than you are a ‘German’ (or German-American). Everything is just a label (most, imposed by others) and then we get fixated onto them. “River” or “River Crossin’” would be a good name. Or something else that comes along. Something more unique to wear you are at this stage in your hiking life and location on the PCT.

Urban Hiker Pack- AT hikers - 2/3rds on trail..1/3 urban. Old Alois and Onlle Wolfie must have only one suitcase or pack for final processing. Everything else a pinata. Salad is dirty. Does have that effect. Kapuchka. Nolars . Wasabi Peas- Deutsch peas I think must be better than typical English peas that pop. So ever mindful of the hikers equipment.

That wasn’t a “perfect climbing tree”, imo. That tree looked dead with branches that could just snap off. It only takes a broken ankle to end your tru hike.
Risk/reward ration of climbing trees on the PCT = poor.
