"The Shining" started much earlier in Sabbath's history - it was demoed back in 1984 with David Donato on vocals as a song called "No Way Out", but the band split up soon after and it was never officially released. By this time, Sabbath had a revolving door of musicians - and the recording of this song was no exception.
The band that recorded it was Tony Iommi on guitars, Geoff Nicholls on keyboards, Bob Daisley on bass (and he wrote the lyrics, just as he did as a member of Ozzy Osbourne's band), Ray Gillen on vocals and future Alice Cooper and Kiss drummer Eric Singer on drums.
Bob was a session member who would return to play with Gary Moore, and Eric Singer joined him not long after. Eric would team up with Ray Gillen later to form Badlands. Tony and Geoff remained from the initial sessions and hired Tony Martin to do the vocals in a week, so the Eternal Idol album could be released.
Martin of course now has his own underrated legacy and added stability in the vocal department at least until he was replaced by Ronnie James Dio in 1991, and then returned in 1993 to be replaced by Ozzy in 1997. He didn't write anything on the Eternal Idol album but did contribute to the b-sides to "The Shining" single in "Some Kind of Woman" and "Black Moon" - the latter of which was re-recorded for the Headless Cross album.
For the video, the line up included Iommi, Martin, Nicholls, drummer Terry Chimes (best known for his work in The Clash) and the bassist was a guy that was a guitarist, but was brought in to mime Daisley's bass parts.

New listener, I applaud you're doing Tony Martin, he will always be in the shadows of the late great Dio & the Dark prince himself Ozzy, if you do another Martin sing, do Headless Cross official video
