- Earthworm Jim is a series that only does stuff in absolutes. Each and every level is wall-to-wall insanity, you become desensitized to it before long.
But there's one level in the second game that's so mental, it stands out even among the chaos...

I like what the manual says about the quiz. "Choose the most correct answer, unless none of them are right then choose the least likely answer, but not ruling out funny answers that we just plain liked"
Also my favorite question, "Phrase your response in the form of a question" "Y-Yes, B-No, A-Maybe". The answer is "Y". I wonder how that joke translates to the Genesis version.
Tip: the correct ansers are usually the most comedic ones. In other words, if there's a choice that makes you think "please let it be that!" there's a good chance it is.
Earthworm Jim has some of the most creative levels I've seen.
This was literally the first level I thought of when I saw the title for Weirdest Levels Ever #1. Guess you took your time to state the most obvious one.
What sells it is the music. They could have used stereotypical "wacky" music (Like during the quiz segment) but the Moonlight Sonata brings it to another level.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the music during the level.
I spent way too long trying to figure out whether that was the level itself, or git's editing
Beethoven's Moonlight was considered the saddest music in the world...

EJ2 in particular is just batshit insane. All the more reason to love it.

Earthjim Jim will forever be weirdness gold
Every level in those games is weird, so you really have to go the extra mile to stand out. I suppose Level Ate got its successor in Psychonauts' Meat Circus level, but what about the level made entirely of office supplies where you must collect hamster cages and slot them into machines while exploiting the invulnerable file cabinets' OCD to get past them? And then you must catch a running exit door by getting it to trip over an armoire.
Meat Circus at least had a narrative reason for being so weird. The levels in this game are so weird, you'd be hard pressed to figure out why Jim would need to go through some of them on his adventure.
@@linguicaguy Rule of Funny/Cool. The cartoon also demonstrates creative oddities such as the Planet of Easily Frightened People, Peter Puppy's use of the anti-fear litany from Dune when scared, and the running gag of a falling cow at the end of each episode:

I repeat my statement made on your Weirdest Endings Ever video, in that I still believe Earthworm Jim 2 is the best sequel game. This level certainly contributes to my thinking that!

Additionally, if written correctly, it should say „die Toiletten“ instead of „Die toileten“.

Earthworm Jim levels are just weird in general like Fr one moment your on mars then your not even an earthworm anymore, AND THEN your trying to Hurd cattle over to a milking station to weigh down a latter blocking your path and the list goes on
