Inoue's recovery was pretty impressive. He got dropped, and only held once for a few seconds, then boxed his way out of trouble without needing to hold again for the rest of the round.

Yes, donaire broke inoue's left orbital bone and his nose in the 2nd round of their 1st fight in the wbss tourney! And inoue fought through the rest of the other 10 rounds to win the tourney! And after the tourney, donaire's kids were sad that he didn't win and come home with the Muhammed ali trophy so inoue being a nice and humble guy that he is, lends donaire his trophy to let his kids see and hold the trophy! What a gentlemen inoue is!

Just three more points to enhance even more Inoue's accomplishments:
1) He is not winning due to being "the local guy" helped by the judges... because he has KO'd almost all his opponents. Besides, he even RARELY HAS LOST ROUNDS...
2) Having the extremely high KO percentage is way MORE DIFFICULT in the lower weight divisions that in the higher weights, and even more when he is jumping up divisions.
3) The RESPECTFUL ATTITUDE and CLASS by Inoue (and the Japanese culture) deserves lots of praise and admiration. That makes a CHAMPION EVEN GREATER!

We all want the Benavidez fight to happen. That said, Pita acts like Benavidez didn’t move up in weight to take a “one off” fight against Gvosdyk (who was retired for 4 years and has fought 2 cab drivers since) just so people wouldn’t criticize him for not fighting David Morrell. And yes a “one off” fight because he doesn’t intend on staying there. Because if he did he wouldn’t be saying he still wants the Canelo fight.
Canelo fight is still the lottery fight for him so of course its gonna be in the back of his mind since boxing world wants it But i think he stays at 175 because his second best money option is Bivol beterbiev winner . If he beats Bivol or beterbiev for undisputed belts at 175 you better believe canelo is going to want them belts . nobody is criticzing Benavidez for not fighting morell lol Morell just hasnt fought or earned his way to the top yet who has he fought ? You cant even name a Morell opponent off the top of your head

David is saying he's campaigning at 175. David should fight Bivol as Beterbiev's replacement. If he makes his own legacy that fight between him and Canelo becomes that much more likely. Up until then we all see that David is chasing the Canelo lottery. And btw, David resume isn't exactly stellar, and with his lack of defense, he's tailor made for Canelo, which of course the haters will claim after the fight. Still, I too want to watch Canelo vs Benavidez.
it's not a one off fight, he needs to fight gvosdyk to become the mandatory for the winner of beterbiev/bivol. He's going to stay at 175 the only fight he would go back to 168 is vs Canelo for undisputed.

I just disagree that Canelo and Munguia's mutual respect had anything to do with the performance of the fight. They're both Mexican warriors they understand once that bell rings all respect is out the window, Munguia even says it during the press conference. The only moment where it may have affected the fight was the final round as Robert pointed out. At that point Canelo just wanted Munguia to finish with dignity for making it that far.

Roberts asseyis 100 correct. Thats exactly what Naoya said in the press conference a day after the fught.
He said he always does "image training" which he imagine the worst outcome and mentally prepare to the possible situation. Because of that, when he hut the canvas, all those mental training just came in to his head naturally, wait until count 8 to get up. He also said that he didn't see the punch which knocohim down so he was actully looking at the video screen after got back to his corner before the second round bell.
He is absolutely super calculated and never gets panicked. ( Thats was actually his first knock down in his whole life, not just in pro)
I don't really think munguia was starstruck and content with just being there in the same ring with Canelo, I really believe sometime in the fight munguia must have realized no matter what I hit this guy with I'm not going to do anything to him, and the comeback is something I've never experienced before

Thank you that’s a question that should be asked of all top fighters. Why do they get so much credit when we know they’re fighting subpar competition? Inoue gets dropped or Crawford gets dropped by Kava yet they find a way to make it a positive. But Canelo has an ok performance and now the question is if he’s slowing down 😂

Correction: Results take 72 hours, not 10 days. Pita is attempting to come off as an expert, he just doesn't know enough to do so. First off, VADA announced today that Ryans didn't have 19-Norandrosterone. Secondly, the USADA has stated publically that contamination of supplements with Ostarine is widespread, and has went so far as to warn athletes in print and on video. Further, there must be quantitative analysis of Ryan's blood to rule out accidental dosing of Ostarine. Until then Pita should remain agnostic on the issue.
Pita either has beef with Ryan, or he's just willfully ignorant. It may turn out that Ryan stupidly/intentionally took a PED 2 weeks before he knew positively that he'd be tested, but logic dictates that it was probably due to inadvertant ingestion of the drug. Either way, given what we know, Pita needs to be a little more judicious in his criticism of Ryan, i.e., give Ryan the opportunity for due process rather than offering unhinged conjecture sans evidence. Pita's failure to do so will cause him to lose credibility if things don't turn out as he believes.
I think because they were celebrating this win, and rightfully so; it's a good upset, hearing that he might have PEDs in his system whether intentional or not is disappointing and ultimately is not a good look. But you are right, let's wait for the b sample and come to a conclusion.
But from what I've been seeing from the experts, it seems that VADA doesn't lie and is an unbiased organization. We'll see, but if he's positive it's not a good look at all, and I celebrated Ryan's win

I've seen Sam Goodman fight. He',s a good boxer with decent power but not an elite fighter. His best victory was Aleem. It was a close fight but Goodman got the nod. Anything can happen in the ring,but I don't believe Goodman has the skills to beat Inoue. It may go to a decision but Inoue should win decisively.

Hey Pita, I'm not seeing how Benavidez is a tougher fight than Bivol. Canelo is the face of boxing, which means that win or lose, people will pay to see Canelo and continue to do so. In fact, lots of people will watch Canelo so they can see him lose. I believe that fight will happen, after David proves himself worthy, and the fight is worth more money.

This is my first time watching this show but I have to say, I find Pita to be very intelligent in his analysis and gives solid reasons to support his opinions. I love how he provides a distinction between number 1 pound for pound boxer and best boxer in the world today. Also he gives solid reasons why he gives Inoue the pound for pound title. Very good stuff!

Pita said the damage Garcia caused Haney was obviously due to performance enhancing peds, without considering the chance of tainted supplements. He should really check out the video "Ryan Garcia Took PED's - My Analysis" by a PED expert on the "More Plates More Dates" RUclips channel. It's got some solid insights he might find eye-opening.

@@RG43458 No one is doubting the test was positive. There are no performance benefits with trace levels of peds in contaminated supplements so if it a case of contaminated supplements his performance would have nothing to do with any performance enhanced drugs.
