Starry Night Pool & Spa Care Some weld a plate on top of the loading gate so that shells slide easier into the magazine and also so your thumb does not get caught between the gate and tube when loading deuces and quads.
He is talking about welding the notch closed on the lifter, if you close up the notch and extend your lifter then your thumb wont get caught by the lifter as you push shells into the tube.
It had to take a little courage to start filing away on a new shotgun, and I’m glad you did! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry what is the weld for? Do you mean weld a bead instead of the filing you did so shell hits bead to open door wider? Thanks
