I am a bit confused because after disassembling the box, it turned out that there is a spacer sleeve, but it is about 7 mm. on the manufacturer's website, the damper is described as 210x52.5 .. I think that after removing this sleeve, the piston would go too deep into the box, unsealing the chamber. any suggestions?

The title didn’t say “how to” the video just documents the process and progression of my bike.
The guys at Yeti have been making Lunch Rides even before they were ever sold.

@Jeff Epstein your trance has a 115mm travel out back and so you bumpt it to 120, is that correct? thanks for the answer, I wonder if my 42.5mm stroke dpx2 has a 2.5mm spacer in it that i can cut

@@ryanmansor216 I have the 27.5 trance which is 140mm rear. if i was you id let the air out my rear shock and open it up and take a look. could be possible. the 2022 trance 29 was upped to 120 rear travel from factory. not to be confused with trance x 29 which is 135 rear travel

Did you measure the thickness of that spacer? Was it 2.5mm?
Did you do a video on dialing in your suspension?

Just for reference what is your height and weight. And what size frame you ride.

Okay that takes care of rear travel but your fork is still 150mm of travel and it needs to be 160mm in order to be a “Lunch Ride” and that requires a little more work than a snip of a spacer. You’ll need a 160 mm air spring, 20wt gold oil and so on.

      The bike already has a 160mm Zeb….

Did you previously extend the front fork to 160mm? I was under the impression that the standard SB130 came stock with 150mm fox 36 fork? If true, you’ll still need to extend the fork 10mm to make it a true lunch ride?

Nice work. It sucks to nip your shaft with cutters. 🤟🏼

Wait. Do you have to put in that blue spacer?

    • @mattturnerbikingmtb9359

No the blue token is completely optional. I wanted to try it to resist bottom out as I was going through the travel fast.
