Great video. Makes me want to pick up a couple reduced shank ph2 sizes for very specific use. I do door access work and some crash bar end caps have a small thru hole leading to a ph2 head. My coworkers get it open with a Milwaukee ph1 slotted precision driver but sometimes those screws are tightened so much that the slim handles are tough to turn.
The trick to accessing the screws and pots in electronic crash bars is take a standard round shank ph1 and grind the tip down. This trick works on screwdrivers and bits. Edit: Grinding the tip off a PH1 turns a PH1 into a reduced shank PH2 essentially. For accessing the “security by obscurity” screws.
For those wondering were rapidaptor locks the Asian bits very to the point that u can't get it out phisicly unless you pull on the sleeve ,soo i can recommend using the wera short bit holder for using Asian bits in a power tool the holder doesn't have play when in it's self.
@Hand Tool Reviews good point but vessel anex and other asian brands don't make short bits like western brands the typical length for their bits is around 65-110mm 150-200mm is pretty common so the diameter of the rapidator in an impact driver whit these bits is not a big problem unless u need a longer bit holder.

My first reaction is actually to go with PBSwiss or Wera Hexplus. I am still slowly experimenting with the Japanese brands and their hex bit and hex driver products. Ah, yes. I should tell people why I don't point that out. I forget is the real reason. I know about those and I think I have some, but I found that VESSEL makes all the really nice higher quality bits in Japanese anvil only. The B35 line is very basic and I am not fond of them. The bits I like are the VESSEL Prokon series Sakisubo SS16 bits. I should do a video about the VESSEL product range and differences.
@@bzeug I only got the bit as a way to "test out" the JIS standard if indeed it is a JIS standard as I finally tracked down the Muji Screwdriver set I have and that one is made by Anex their 5800 Driver set to be specific but "Muji-fied" so there might be a reason why I like the Anex set a bit better in the fastener department in the household if that set too has JIS cross type tips
Where is the sense of making the shaft slimmer than the head of the Screw..??? I don't get it !! If the tip of scredriver is PH2, the head of the screw will be like 5-6mm and it will not fit either in smaller ones like PH1 or PH0 for example...🤔A gimmick money waster ,like all in one multi tools..🛠
then you don't know or rather, you haven't work enough in places where that really matter. that really matters a lot, the other day I was working in a vacuum cleaner and the hole was just big enough to get the screw in, but not a normal screwdriver, so yeah, a reduced shanks would have work in that situation. don't say it doesn't make sense just because you haven encounter a place to use it.
@Hand Tool Reviews who said they are for torque? If it sits on the screw it's enough, plus, a better fit helps a lot more for not rounding. But something else, if i know in what I'm working, then I'm going to be okay with it. This was a review that's going to help me to work a little more faster when I get the tool, if you are not in my situation you can't say what's not going to work, the screws that are in deep holes don't need a lot of torque, so they won't break or bend neither slip.
@Hand Tool Reviews After extended use and my own opinion on this product, I use it for some time now, I really like it, and an stupid opinion it's "if they are making it that hard to repair they don't want it fixed" of course they don't want it to be fixed, just imagine if we put that type of mindset on everything else on life, like mechanic or electrical work or HVAC, whatever, if it'd getting hard why keep producing better tools or different type of tools for the work if it's probably that they don't want it fixed by us. Just a dumb mindset, even if you think it's an small market at least here, or in the US or Canada, maybe they made it because of the Japanese market, and not us, they are just seeling it through Amazon, at the end it's your decision if you want to buy it or not, i got to use it and make my repairs a little easier for me, some people here got them and used them to make repairs or work outside and it works for them, weird isn't it? And the thing it's that you didn't saw the other video about bits, there was an example of using a ph2 bit on a little screw that had a reduced head and was just a bit wider than the bit itself. If you haven't got the, plus they are not made for high torque application or impact use, if you say "they are not going to fit" then you haven't got the opportunity to use one of those bits at all.

Not giving the chance to new tools coming up?
FnA, better believe the reduced Shank and customization of anvil are helpful. Don’t be afraid to grind on a brand new tool!

In a pinch you could use an American hex shank to square socket adapter with a Japanese bit holder for a socket wrench.

why not use the Wera rapidaptor ? it locks the vessel bits and also locks inside the US 1/4 inch drive sockets :)

How do the Japanese bits work in just a standard magnetic bit holder? I was thinking of getting some for the mini-wera non locking.

Why didn't you part the Anex bit down instead of using a dremel?
The bits are hardened, so you can’t use a parting tool.
