Is it going to be okay if connecting the ac to truck battery directly without adding any additional batteries?

Unlikely. You would want an isolated auxiliary battery bank to power the AC to prevent draining your starting batteries. Otherwise you’d probably have to ask a buddy to give you a jump start.

Im installing one at the moment, its not that hard. I'll take this over cutting a huge hole for a window AC or having a window A/C hang out the window
