    First of all I would love to see a real breakthrough on marine ac and I applaud your efforts. However, Isn't this much like the old 4-5k cruiseaires that fit into boat hatches? I still have 2 of those units that I no longer use. At least in terms of warm and cold air passing very close to each other as they exit and enter the boat? And that amp draw still seems high if best draw is 20amps. I dont know. I doubt I would prefer this to my current DIY setup of a Honda 2200i generator powering a 12k Webasto ac. All night long even in August this system keeps my Catalina 36 nice and cool in Charleston SC with the generator running in eco mode. Very quiet and vert economical.

    I love this idea but can it be taken one step farther to attach to roof rails (like found on an Axopar and many others) and work by sliding back the sunroof a bit? This would allow it to be a seasonal installation and taken off in other times of year. This obviously would make more sense with an air cooled AC but perhaps it could be plumbed for seawater cooling if not…

      @@jamiehackney4420 a 12v 460AH ah Battery is available from Epoch batteries at this time with a retail cost of $1,699.00. That battery would run this unit for a little over 8 hours, running at full capacity.

      @@MabruPowerSystemsINC However that said battery would require 11.5 hours to charge back up @ 40amps. Solar would take days. So you mind as well save money and get a unit to run off a smaller generator. Just my thought.

      @MabruPowerSystemsINC  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@jamiehackney4420 This unit does not work for all customers but it can fit a wide rage of customer needs. I don't use my personal boat every day and have 120A of charge from my inverter so I can recharge my batteries much faster. Even waiting 11.5 hours would work for my application and many of our customers. To be fair though, you are accounting for 100% use of the battery where the calculations I had done were based on 85% discharge and we would use at least a 60A charger, not 40A so it would be just over 6.5hrs to recharge. Other customers use this unit when their engines are running so they have a very small (100ah) battery bank that acts as a buffer between the alternators and the engines. Most alternators today are at least 75A and most boats looking at these have at least (2) so the alternators have no issue keeping up with the unit draw. It's fair that some customers would prefer to have a generator to run everything and that's fair as well. There are plenty of products available in the market to fit those needs. We prefer the simplicity and reliability of the battery powered systems rather than dealing with the noise, maintenance, and dependability issues of modern generators.

    Looking for a solution for my 2021 Parker 2810. This is probably beyond overkill since it’s the walk around with berth as opposed to the sport cabin. But I need something!

    • @MabruPowerSystemsINC
      @MabruPowerSystemsINC  2 года назад

      the 12k will be overkill but will be able to do the helm and cabin if there is space on the hardtop for this unit but there may be a space port side either under the sink or in the storage behind it for a 5DC.
