5542 on the East Somerset Railway - Sunday 27th September 2020

Another visit to the East Somerset Railway to see a third different loco in service since the railway began running again in July. GWR Small Prairie No 5542 has been drafted in to substitute for fellow Small Prairie No 4555. The later loco has had to be stopped due to the need for firebox repairs, resulting in the boiler being lifted. The loco has been sent away for this work to be carried out.
In this video, we see 5542 at various locations throughout the days running.

Very relaxing. The wind worked beautifully with the exhaust for the Cranmore West departure. An interesting bit of roller-coaster track at 07:10. Kind regards, Bob K
