I own a 21 white pro right now. Love everything about it including the outdated interior. The hard plastics clean easy when dirty. Everything is very simply laid out to use. I don't need all the modern gimmicks that new vehicles currently have. I towed 2 side by sides to and across an off road park with zero issues. This thing does it all. Thanks Kirk!!!!!
Exactly why I am purchasing it. I have been doing my homework. This vehicle is not outdated. If anything, it was ahead of its time. This will be apparent in how well all the interior features serve the whole family. And why do I need a bigger screen for? It’s an informational panel, not a TV lol.
@BodegaBoyLex On long trips at hwy speeds, about 17 or 18. Average, 16. I don't think you buy one of these for the gas mileage. We have 40k on the clock right now with a few off road trips thrown in the mix and it's held up very well
I’ve been upset for years that the Sequoia hasn’t changed in so long, and now here I am with an order in for this exact one, 2022. Was gonna get a new tundra and the wife has been wanting a mew car and landed on this. Decided to take care of her first and put my truck on hold. Pretty stoked actually though, the outdated-ness is developing a certain charm!
Cute kids! I miss having little ones. They shouldn’t call anything a TRD PRO without a rear locker. And the Sequoia needs to be able to tow more. A lot more.
2012 Toyota Sequoia Platinum - 230,000km. I bought new. It’s bullet proof. I also tow a 31’ Outdoors RV 26KVS Titanium with Pro-pride hitch. It’s roomy, cleans easy and is super functional. I would be hard pressed to go to the domestics, particularly with the dumb move GM did putting shifter on dash. I plan on purchasing a ‘21 Platinum for the last of the V8’s.
The one thing that held me getting this is the interior, its more than 12 yrs okd at this point. Definitely watching whats does toyota do with the new trucks
It's about time you did a dedicated segment on the 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro. Thank You, Kirk. My 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro Super White is sitting out in my driveway and I enjoy her everytime we take her out.
In February, the price of my Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro Super White was $58,693, a steal, indeed, when my regional stealerships wouldn't budge from the $66,000 MSRP. I love the tried and true bulletproof 5.7 liter V-8 engine and 6 speed transmission. I plan on keeping ours for decades.
Ever since you moved to Florida it makes me want to visit and think about moving there. It all looks like paradise. Ugh... Im in Phx and yes its...warm. Ill go w/ that.
Great to see you out and about Kirk. Sequoia would be nice in Australia (the next model not this old thing) but we'll just keep dreaming. If only you guys moved to RHD to suit us! LOL. That's why we dream.....
Bet me now. Reliability will go DOWN with a smaller displacement V6 with twin turbos, and a 10 speed. Such an incredible vehicle now. If you’re thinking about it, get one. The resale will not go anywhere. In fact in certain cases it will go up.
The issue I have with it is the transmission. They need to move it from a 6 speed to an 8 speed. I had a 2018 Sequoia and I have a 2020 Land Cruiser. Same engine, but the transmission made the difference and the Land Cruiser is more enjoyable to drive because of it.
Nice review, Kirk! The Sequoia is very old school nowadays... and that's a good thing. That big ol' V8 drivetrain will easily last 300,000 miles, but stick with the base SR5 trim to get the best 'bang for your buck'.
I’ve been waiting so long for a new generation Sequoia and every year is a let down. It’s hard to justify spending all that money on a new SUV that has same style and components as a SUV that’s over a decade old.
Why the hell Toyota never updated the body paneling for the Sequoia as they did with a Tundra in 14 is beyond me. I would’ve sold like hotcakes and been much more chiseled and bold. This one is too soft old and round👎🏻
DEAR GOD! 4! My brother in law has 4 and i feel for him. Im far to selfish to have a single one. I like my money and my time thank you. Oh yea yes this is a car show. On that topic i wish Toyota would step up the interior. For what your paying it really feels like you are getting a bare bones car that is huge in size. Booo.
rule #1 of the Internet: don't put your kids on the internet. They don't care now, but might not like it later. Not to mention all sorts of weirdos out there...
Nice video but for $10,000 more you can get a Land Cruiser. It would be a terrible financial decision to buy this instead of a Land Cruiser when you’re spending that much money.
Unless a V8 is a must, there's no reason to buy this old SUV. Just wait for the new one to come out. It would be cool if they had the turbo V6 on the regular Tundra/Sequoia and then a V8 on the TRD Pro version.

You have one badass truck!!!
There is no transmission cooler for the new model?

What’s your gas mileage looking like. (I’m getting one soon I hope 🤞)

This Sequoia hasn’t changed since 2008 and that’s a good thing
How is safety on this brick?
It looks like a dog
The interior needs a major update since you’ll be there %99 of the time and your paying 65k
I remember my dad had a 2007 sequoia, then got a 2015 cadillac escalade, and now he has a 2021 Lexus Lx 570s. Good times in the sequoia.
the new Escalade is far better than the previous gen though
@@kristians2704 indeed. I asked my dad on his thoughts on the 2021 escalade, he didn't like the front but he liked the interior
@@mclarenspeedtail8988 I like the Escalade actually wait what year Escalade was it?
@@yes8032 my dad's had a 2015, the year it was completely refreshed

Great buy man I have 19 pro tundra bullet proof set up you’ll have for many years to come

I’m glad you did the review with the families as that’s what it was made for. The TRD package and color look so good

Love that beast !
I have the 2010 Platinum and we love it,
Safe , reliable and roomy.
Toyota at its best !
Ever since you moved to Florida it makes me want to visit and think about moving there. It all looks like paradise. Ugh... Im in Phx and yes its...warm. Ill go w/ that.
It's incredible here. Phoenix has its own beauty I'm sure!
i love watching your car reviews, the kids and the camera work tops it off
Omg thank you so much!

I ordered mine 2 months ago… arrives in 3 weeks!
FYI: When you go to the Toyota website to 'build your own' TRD Pro, the selection defaults to the 'Night Shade Special Edition'.
8:16 Keep your eyes on the road if you know what's good for you fella! 😆

V8 rocks, v6 twin turbo is joke.
It won’t go down Toyota was probably testing for minimum of 10 years before releasing it.
Making a video for RUclips and running errands. Multitasking.
Besides from making the DRLs more diffuse looking I wouldn't even change anything on the exterior lol. Interior is a different story...
Rear taillights are a bit blah too haha
family videos are the best!!!
I want this full size old-school SUV
Shout out from Omaha. Nice video
Toyota sequoia is a legend I love with a luxury trim like limited or platinum.
3:30 i spot a car girl lol
I have 2012 tundra trd rock warrior and I love it.
2022 model hope for better 30 mpg plug in hybrid
Try and find one.

What you think will be new in 2022, if any?
Nothing until 2023
@@KirkKreifels Do you think is a Good Buy or Not? I have been considering to get one
This is one tough unit, and the model should be out soon.
I remember crashing my 2012 golf GTI racing a Sequoia about 10 years ago, I’ll never forget that lol
Nice video. Naples is a beautiful place!
Yes it is!!!
This truck so old it’s tail lights got styling cues from 2006 3rd gen Lexus GS! 😂
I think Kirk Toyota should take time to get right.in my opinion

I agree! Sr5 is a great value
Great vid
Thanks!
Hi Kirk, very cute daughters in a Huge Sequoia
Excellent
For a second I thought that one of the kids on the left was upside down.
Great review!
Glad your doing traditional reviews!!!!
Thanks! More to come.
Budget LC?
Basically, it's a big TRD dump truck
How are you liking Florida so far?
LOVE it
Lovely Naples FL traffic with clueless drivers lol
I’m thinking of getting a dashcam just for the memes, lol
You guys went to lowdermilk?
Nope. We try to avoid the busier beaches.
I love it but the rising gas prices are holding me back from buying. If it was electric I would get it in a heartbeat.
The headlights are dope , wtf are you talking about ok.
Toyota Sequoia ancient whale! needs a major update lol >.< that interior is looking hella FISHER PRICE
bhahaha
@@KirkKreifels 😂 it’s true! It’s 2021 and you see better plastics being used on toys 🧸
Nice
V8 Rocks, it’s going be Speed vs Power end of day. I’ll take power, I suggest not sell it before u try twin turbo
TRD Pro came out in 2015, not 2014.

If I never had the responsibility of my kids, I never would have had the fire to be successful 😅 to each his own. Can't wait for a nicer Sequoia
