Fire trucks from 4 stations + State police responding to hazmat call and car fire

- Large scale alarm for the fire departments in the city of Regensburg:
In the late afternoon someone reported an oil film on the Danube River in Regensburg. At 6:23 PM the siren alarm was set off in the borough of Weichs. Just seconds later the paid FD came past my position at Franken Road and Nordgau Road. While some of the first units were responding, a car caught on fire at the same intersection where I stood, one of the pod carriers made a first attack with a fire extinguisher until the new Tanker arrived
Three companies from the VFD were dispatched to the scene (one of them hasn't been caught on video before). The Regensburg PD responded with one patrol car to each of the scenes (the 2nd patrol car is the all new 2013 BMW 3 series PPV (again, never filmed before).

What I didn't caught on video is the command car which responded just seconds ahead the Command van and the Engine, as well as another command car which responded to the fire boat laying in the West-Harbor

Blimey that's total chaos! An oil rig on fire, with units responding into an intersection full of heavy traffic, where one of those vehicles is on fire! Interesting seeing a pod tackling a car fire, but that's what happens when units are all over the place!

+CobraEmergencyVideos it actually was just a minor oil spill on the water, so small that they didn't have to take any actions on scene, but of course they dispatched "some few" units :D

Verdammt geiles Video. Ist ja auch eher seltenst dass whrend eines roßeinsatzes direkt vor dem Filmer noch ein weiterer Einsatz stattfindet. Auf jeden Fall ein Favo!

Wer an der Kreuzung arbeitet hat bald ein Blaulichttrauma ;) Aber klasse Video, auch die Beifänge wie ein 97er Fiesta Style, ein orginall Fiat Panda/Seat Marabella und der BMW 3er von Ende der 80er :)
Ab 16 Jahren und dem erfolgreichen Bestehen der Truppmann 1 Prüfung darf man bei uns in Nürnberg mit zu Einsätzen.
I totally agree with you. But I swear that the turn signals on some of those cars were brighter than the flashing lights on top of the trucks.

thx; yes indeed. The funny thing is: I've been waiting so many times and so long at that intersection and always just ambulances, police cars or one single fire truck - never more than that. But always when I don't go out in order to film at that intersection / road, then I get the special stuff. Here I just left the shopping center, and after just 200 meters the roof siren on the shopping center went off and I ran back there ... RIP my frozen pizza ;D
I used to drive, but gave it up because I have a heart and lung issues, that I did not want to cause an accident and injure someone else, or worst, I gave up my license. I rely very heavily upon people like you and others to fill my need to know, but I do understand the hunt of the prey, can allude us at times. Your diligent, steadfast, patience will pay off. Trust me, it will! I commend you, for what you do, so keep a happy outlook, and you shall be rewarded. Take care, and be safe.

Hat eines der Autos bei 2:45 wirklich das WLF angehupt ?
es würde mich einerseits nicht wundern, da es von hinten in keiner Weise als Einsatzfahrzeug erkenntlich ist, kein Blaulicht am Heck und kein Feuerwehr-Schriftzug oder ähnliches, dass das Fahrzeug von einem Bau-LKW unterscheiden würde; aber bei dem Verkehr kann es auch ganz genauso gut sein dass es von woanders herkam das Hupen
Ja hab kann auch sein dass der hinterste PKW den vorderen angehupt hat weils ihm nicht schnell genug voran ging.
Die könnten sich aber echt noch ne blaue Funzel hinten dranstecken ..

Not gonna lie, The pod carrier taking on the car fire made me giggle a bit.
it for sure was an unusual case that I was standing at the right place, at the right time, and the Pod Carrier was passing by at that moment. It it was on fire while the Engine passed 2 minutes earlier, they probably wouldn't have dispatched the Tanker. This was the 1st video of the brandnew Tanker

you sure that we have to change the sirens? The Regensburg FD moves at an average speed of 40 mph through the traffic. And as for "no matter where in Europe they're from" - in many European countries they use also, or only, wail and yelp sirens, and btw. you can also find the Q and Rumbler over here. And especially in northern Europe the fire trucks can easily keep up with the american ones concerning the light setup, they easily have up to 60 LED lights in different colors on them
our martinshorn is bringing the same effect on the traffic as the airhorn u'r using in us and other countries

Last time I've been there, just the everday stuff was going on, and on the evening where I left BAM huge fire with 7 fire stations in action (even with 3 stations it's already a big deal here). And like that it's in almost any city where I go to: No call at all when I'm there, huge alarms with career and volunteer FD responding the other days.

I have many hobbies, I used to do movie making (8 mm), back in the early to middle 1960's, air liners mostly, and my miniature French Poodle's, antics, and I envy you with your steady hand in filming down the Fire Company's, daily routine's. I only recently have become a lover of fire equipment and the many departments all over the world who fight fires, I think they all are a very brave lot of people.. But I do admit, I would get frustrated if that happened to me, lol>>>more

Why does it matter what vehicle it is. You still have to get out of the way. In America you can tell the difference between fire vehicles and police vehicles.

Im Hintergrund ARO Teppichwelt, war mal mein Arbeit(ausbeuter)geber. Und wenn es nur noch die ARO gäbe, lieber Hartz4 als dort arbeiten.
Ist ja auch einfacher sich von dem Staat beschenken zu lassen...
+tnrosbergb Dann geh du doch dort hin und arbeite 15 Std. am Tag bei ARO und das machste dann so 3 Jahre lang bis du das Handtuch wirfst. Ich musste mal von moins um 07:00 ständig von DA nach F und zurück und wieder von DA nach F und zurück weil der Filialleiter einen dicken 12 Meter langen und 5 Meter breiten Teppichboden gesucht hat, der am Ende bei der Spedition in Nürnberg lag. Also schickte er mich nach Nürnberg mit einem alten VW Bus mit Drosselklappe der die Kiste nicht schneller als 80 fahren lies. Damals gabs noch kein Navi, ich musste als Ortsfremder diese Spedition mit nem Stadtplan von Nernberch suchen, den Teppich laden und zurück nach DA. Um 23:00 war ich dann endlich wieder Zuhause. Schönes WE gehabt.

Das "P" steht für Pulver, bzw. insgesamt dann Pulvertanklöschfahrzeug - ein Tanklöschfahrzeug welches neben dem normalen Wassertank auch einen Pulvertank hat

I have never seen firetrucks so badly designed. The blue lights are not visible from behind at all. If they stop, there is nothing that would inform others that it is a fire truck, be careful. Not even a sign or a writing on the back of the truck.
0:18 has two LED emergency lights and several amber warning lights to the rear
0:22 has one rotating halogen beacon light to the rear
2:32 has one rotating halogen beacon light to the rear
3:24 has one rotating halogen beacon light to the rear
4:04 has two LED emergency lights and a LED message board to the rear
5:14 has one rotating halogen beacon light to the rear and the lightbar at the front can be seen from behind as well
5:27 has one rotating halogen beacon light to the rear and the lightbar at the front can be seen from behind as well
only 1:40 and 2:25 the two Pod Carriers don't have emergency lights on the rear; It's simply the age of these special operation equipment pods, others at the same station either have their own emergency light on top or they are much lower that the lights mounted on the truck cab can be seen from behind:

These Pod Carriers aren't the kind of trucks placed on scene the way that they're protecting the scene, blocking traffic etc; It's not that much of a problem if a decades old truck like that has only minimum or no warning to the rear
@UCmycY92RZkF0v-R_qQ0JkXA well it was an exceptional and special circumstance, and some few people honked, but it wasn't much of an actual problem. If a normal truck breaks down he has only the hazard lights and the warning triangle as well. And trucks will definetly be in the left lane when they plan to turn left soon;
Well the point is they shouldn't jump in the first place due to the chance of being injured, but getting out while traffic is passing ... can be safely done when watching out; It's supposed to be the same here, but well, those are some really old and rarely used containers ... within all the years with me filming in that city I've seen and filmed them only ONCE. Those which are large and used on a more common basis are equipped with an emergency light, as you could see in the posted video links. Other departments might not have a light on the container but only on the truck itself, however a low mounted light will only be visible for the vehicle right behind it and not like 5 vehicles further behind: ruclips.net/video/3HeS2wrP3Fk/видео.html

I know the feeling, it's like you have to have a permanent apartment on the corner to catch what you missed. I think about that all the time, that if I don't go to my watch area's, I'll miss something important, only to be disappointed at what I do find, so that one day you don't go, and all hell breaks loose, and everything comes out.lol
