Saw them in 2016 when they opened for The Cure in Charlotte. Been a fan ever since. Saw them last night in Atlanta and just love how they perform live!
@@beltskyy probably true but I'd missed The Twilight Sad and have only come here because I read an article which Robert Smith talked about them. Nothing lost is there?
So sad they cancelled the south american tour, I really wanted to see them live, especially opening for The Cure. I love that this song has that Joy Division's She's lost control vibe. Good one!
Same! I was just a young hardcore kid when a guy I looked up to sent me “I became a prostitute” as an example of pocket drumming. Been a huge fan since.
I still believe their first album was the best though. I love all their other works, but the magic of their debut album is beyond everything else I have heard. it's my fav album of all time.
Yeah, some of their former material was a little more consistently cohesive than this lp, as a whole. This is a great album, without a doubt. Some tracks just lack a sense of growth, or even equality, when compared to some of the formative releases. "No One Can Ever Know," as I opine, is their most complete release. I have been here a while longer than NOCEK. Not since day 1, but quite early on. Never heard a track by them that I didn't like, regardless. I suppose I will "Kill It in the Morning" for my comments... so be it. They are ridiculously good!
These lads definitely require a certain "ear" to appreciate them. Been digging them a long while. Wife has an aversion to the Scot accent. Ugh. "Oh, is this that Scot band TTS or GV or TCS?" You see her in my profile pic. Yeqh. She looks like an islander. Oh, well, more Scot goodies for me😁
I've binge listened to the same 4 songs by this band for a whole week. Fucking amazing. I love how his accent bleeds through into his vocals. -VTr -[10 good reasons for modern drugs] -there's a girl in the corner -I/m not here (missing face) No comparison, but they kind of remind me of the first 2 albums of 'Editors'
I love u guys so, so much. Your music is deeply spiring to me, and i hope someday you get the fame/acknowledge you really deserve! Saludos desde El Salvador:)
Can't wait to see these boys again. Last show in MA was cancelled due to illness and then the whole covid thing struck. If you like this track and the phenomenal album it comes from, do yourself a favor and see them in person.
Never clicked so fast in my life! I've been waiting for you! Cannot wait for this album. The darker the sound the better for me! How do they just improve and improve on every album!
VTr And I've been waiting for you, There's nothing that I'd rather do, You stop me from falling in the ground, Please don't leave me alone, I won't cope on my own. I dunno who to trust, Don't let me do my worst, I don't know who to trust, Running away doesn't feel so bad, No running away doesn't feel so bad. There's a monster inside of you, Someone that you never knew, Someone that we didn't choose, He won't leave us alone, Please don't leave me alone. I dunno who to trust, Don't let me do my worst, I don't know who to trust. There's no love too small, There's no love too small. Will you take my love instead?, And help me rest my head, And I'll forget everything they said, And if you take my love instead. There's no love too small, There's no love too small. And I won't be surprised if it kills us all, And I won't be surprised if it kills us all. There's no love too small, And I won't be surprised if it kills us all. There's no love too small, There's no love too small.
Recently discovered The Twilight Sad (well apparently I saw them supporting Editors a few years ago but don't remember it at all), and this is one of the best albums I've ever heard! Wish I saw them live on the album tour...

I listen for first time this band in October 8, they opening the show of the cure... I feel a similar sound to Joy Division and the singer had the same movements than Ian Curtis, maybe I’m crazy for compare but I don’t care. Good band’
I saw them open for The Cure! That was the first time I've ever hear did them, and as soon as they took the stage, my mind was blown! These guys have such an over the top stage presence! I'm jealous you get to see them honestly!

It felt like a Twilight Sad day so I’ve been playing them all. This is my fave off the latest album, no question.
One of the best bands there is! If you can see them live do it. It’s always very special.
So sad they cancelled the south american tour, I really wanted to see them live, especially opening for The Cure. I love that this song has that Joy Division's She's lost control vibe.
