if you get only one 8gb, make sure it's DD3RL. And if you find the 12gb make sure it's DD3RL or else it won't work. But otherwise if it's one stick it won't really affect performance because your only running one slot.

Only light gaming tbh, like Minecraft with the optifine mod, and some older titles like battlefield 3, black ops 2, the old NFS not the newest one. American truck simulator... and more older titles that don't require much. I think you can even play new titles but don't expect too much, so to answer your question yes it can, just depends on what game your going to play.

+Jr Perez no problem, in terms of getting info on your CPU, BIOS & GPU, you can try CPU-z to check what CPU you have and if it's able to be modified or you can always check the BIOS, that's if your chipset allows you to modify anything.
Call of duty black ops 3 runs smooth, but I'd strongly recommend leaving the graphical settings on automatic so it fully adjusted. A 1080p 30fps video renders pretty quick at 5mins depends on the size of the video also the render settings, I use Vegas pro 13. As for the WiFi strength I've never had any issues with this at all, stays strong all the time. Overall this laptop can be pushed if needed, I'm currently dual booted with Ubuntu 15.10 Building Android from source.

How did you get it off I've unscrewed everything and it won't come off.
