@@alexpaglinawan4297 Not true. The S-400 can at best detect the F-35 with low frequency radar, but not track it very well. It's more like knowing there is something there, without actually seing it. This is because the surfaces of the F-35 is to small to absorb or deflect these radars. However, to be able to shoot it down they need to achieve weapons grade track, a different thing all together. For this they would need to use high frequency radars, like on the X-band, and this is the type of frequencies the F-35 is built to deal with.
The F-35 have flown in airspace contested by S-400 systems in Syria for a long time already.

The only reason the US hate Turkey to have both the F-35 and S-400 , its because the Turks will exposed the myth about the F-35 stealth bs once for all. So keep the myth alive and sales going.
F-35 have flown in airspace contested by S-400 systems for a long time already.

That said, it's no secret that both S-300 and S-400 systems have been deployed in Syria for years, and even if the S-400 radar systems covers all of Israel, none of the systems could prevent Israeli F-35 from flying over Damascus. At the same time both US F-35 and F-22 have operated in Syria, although an actual angagement against US aircraft by Russian S-400 would have been less likely.

Syrian and Libyan experience
Returning to the topic of combat competition between Russian air defense systems and Turkish drones, one can recall the "drone fall" in the airspace of Syria and Libya - as a result of the professional use of the Tor-M2KM, Buk-M2E and Sosna anti-aircraft missile systems. The Pantsir-S1 air defense missile system demonstrated the same high efficiency. If these complexes were deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh in a timely manner, they would not have left the Turkish "Bayraktar" any chance.
Judge for yourself. The Tor-M2KM air defense missile system is equipped with eight missiles with a firing range of up to 15 km and an interception height of up to 10 km, capable of detecting and shooting down subtle targets (EPR - up to 0.02 square meters). Simultaneously detects up to 48 targets, accompanies ten and strikes four.
The maximum firing range of the Buk-M2E air defense missile system is 45 km. The interception is carried out at altitudes from 15 meters to 25 kilometers. It is capable of shooting down aerodynamic targets with speeds up to Mach 2.5, and ballistic targets up to Mach 4. Simultaneously fires up to 24 targets (including subtle ones, with RCS up to 0.05 square meters).
SAM "Sosna" sees cruise missiles and drones at a distance of up to 12 km, the zone of guaranteed destruction: in range - 1.3-10 km, in height - from 2 meters to 5 kilometers). The fire control system is optical-electronic - the complex does not unmask itself with any radiation. The air defense missile system is capable of operating in automatic mode at any time of the day, in any weather, without the participation of the crew. In the affected area and ground targets, including tanks (there are armor-piercing warheads), the tank is detected at a distance of up to eight kilometers.
As part of the peacekeeping operation, Russia has deployed the latest Leer-3 electronic warfare systems to Nagorno-Karabakh. Its main tasks are jamming GSM cellular signals, jamming 3G and 4G networks. The complex consists of one KamAZ vehicle and two or three Orlan-10 UAVs with a range of 120 km (time spent in the air, at altitudes up to 5 km - up to 10 hours). The drone can also detect phones, tablets, conduct reconnaissance, plot data on a digital map and transmit it to artillery crews for a fire strike. The Karabakh conflict is once again frozen, not resolved, and modern reconnaissance and air defense systems have not lost their significance.

Yes and it's Actual Fact that during the Balkans Yugoslavian Wars that Russian Ally Serbia then used Russian Made much older Advanced VHF Radar system that Track detected the Stealth F117 fighter that was eventually Shot down by a SAM SA - 3 Anti Aircraft Missile.
The Russians also developed the more Advanced UHF (Ultra High Frequency) Phase Array Radar system mobile and Can Detect even Very Stealth TARGETS and UAV even as low as 50 metres altitude.
The Radar Can be deployed within minutes with the S-400 & S-500 Anti Aircraft, Cruise, Balistic missiles and Drones UAV.

Great system. If they get a lock on you, you are almost guaranteed to be a prisoner. However, it the F22 and F35 have proven they can get past the S-400 numerous times. So not that great against stealth yet.

Please share link on news stating the purchase by Syria/Sale by Russia of the S400. All I could find online stated that Syrians are running S300 and pantsir.
The SAMS are pretty dumb. History as of only a few months ago show they cannot even decipher between an airliner and a military aircraft. Radar is just so archaic.

They all got shot down. Mainly by S-200 and S-300 systems. Syria then didn't have the S-400. That one entered service thanks to Israel when killing innocent people.
All 59 missiles hit their intended targets at a Chemical weapons base without interference. Syrian and Russian air defences launched 40 intercepting surface to air missiles but failed to hit any of the targets. Even France says none of the 12 missiles they fired were intercepted. Most of them were shot down, and rest fall down due to interference to GPS satelites from Russians. Few days before the attack, all the air control service of the countries arround syria, had sent NOTAM to the air companies for "missfactions on GPS"

( american PATRIOT SAM have demonstrated over and over that it's uncapabille of defending against such treaths...latest examples are from 2018/2019 when PATRIOT couldn't defend saudi oil fields ).
however radioengeners are awear of this and they are working for some time to modernize radars and EW to deal with such targets.

The S400 seems to be not that great. Israeli F35’s have flown multiple missions over Syrian airspace and not being track or even detected. So it’s either average at best or the F35 is a superior asset.
