You don't need to fix it. In Switzerland the poor got richer too, but because the rich got more rich than the poor the "gap" increased. But as long as the poor get richer too - why change anything? However there are two problems i think that can be improved. 1: Currently only about 10% of the refugees in Switzerland are working enough to be independent from state-money. This could and should be improved with better integration of them into the business environment. 2: Single parents mostly mothers are often poor, as it is very costly to raise children. If those single parents and other parents would work better together with organizing time for the children / sharing eg. Lunch/Dinner etc. with each other, this could improve the quality for the children and the money left at the end of the month for mothers. I think collaboration would be benefitial. The advantage of collaboration is obvious when comparing two-parents families with single parent families.

Hello good sir. Swiss Person Here. I've never seen a St Bernard dog. Their are a urban legend nowadays. Hotels are meeh and the watches are only as good as your bank account is
I live in Switzerland and let me tell you don't be fooled by money. If you're planning to move here, don't think it will be the dream. Most people who come from abroad are payed way less than the Swiss which is why Switzerland employs them in the first place - profit. I've experienced it first hand in the french speaking part of Switzerland with the french coming across the boarder. They have a lower salary + every month tax money is taken out of their pay because they're not swiss. As it is the case for other immigrants who don't hold a swiss passport as well. If they live across the boarder it's fine as the cost of life is much lower, but if you're a foreigner and have to live here, you'll go through your money pretty quickly. You work long hours and have overtime (8h/9h-7pm), restaurants are about 30-40chf per meal. The saddest part is that the social life is so dull. Swiss are people who don't exactly know how to enjoy themselves as they're quite stuck up. Conversations usually revolve around work and money, material things. Streets are empty during the evenings because everyone is tired from work. Life is missing in this country. Also they're very racist so if you're a foreigner, don't expect to be met with open arms. There's a price to pay for everything in this world, so think well if you're willing to sacrifice your well-being just to have a bit more money than you do in your own country.
A U.N. study claims the happiest country in the world is Switzerland. When asked why they're so happy, Swiss people couldn't answer because their hands were counting money and their mouths were full of chocolate.#SWISS #SWITZERLAND 🇨🇭💯
And people say economic inequality causes unhappiness... OR, the truth is that living next to tons of millionaires and billionaires is beneficial becuase they cant afford: Bad streets, crime, or any other thing that prohibits economic stagnation. Its clear that you want to have as many of the billionaires of the world in your country as possible. Lower taxes brings in more income with more billionaires & millionares, which can be used to help the lower class alot more than higher taxes on fewer billionaires and millionaires. Its common sense. Attempt to hoard all of the billionaires in your state that way you benefit from them.
I moved the Switzerland from the UK 5 month ago. I love it here, its a great country. Word of advice, if you plan to live in Switzerland. Make sure you have a job first otherwise you are not going to have a good time due to high living costs. So far only Iceland has beaten Switzerland from my personal experience with the cost of living but no one really wants to go there anyway!
@@armitylekhona585 Each to their own but I would of stayed in the UK if I felt it was a better place to be. Switzerland isn't plaqued with beggers on the streets like in the UK.
This is my first RUclips comment in years. I usually do not comment anything, but this video was so full of stereotypes that I felt I have to say something. First of all, the income inequality is way better than in most countries. A waitress earns approximately 50k USD a year. Sure, the costs of life are higher then in Germany for example, but still, at the end of the month there is more money left. That is the reason for tens of thousands of Germans, French, Italians and Austrians crossing the border for work each and every day. Switzerland is a dream for professionally gifted people. Your university degree will not automatically grant you a higher salary than another career path as for example a mason. (Minimum wage of a mason is 70k USD) Also, there is no bank secrecy anymore. (for foreigners) Know your "facts".
Coming to Switzerland is always my dream. In my country, visiting one Europe nation is something luxury. I dont know whether I could set foot in Europe in my whole life :))

The absolut minimum cost for a lower-end standard living in Zurich estimates to approximately 35'000-40'000 CHF per annum. Used calculation is the following: (CHF1'500/month - Apartment, CHF1'000/month - Food, CHF 4'000/year Tax). No internet, extra bills, pubic transport, nor holidays included - which all raise the minimum cost substantially. I considered the easy achievable and most common monthly salary of a young adult in his early twenties of approximately CHF4'500/month. However, there are many ways to lower costs but only in expense of comfort. Such option would be community living as in sharing an apartment with 2-3 other people. As a Swiss growing up in Zurich city for the past 25 years, I always found the international respect towards Swiss passport holders is the biggest luxury I get by being Swiss. You do not know how expensive everything is in Switzerland. Everyone saves and above all, there is a lot of racist here. Well, you did not think so. That's the reality. Many foreigners who come from England or America are overwhelmed and become cleaning staff. Believe me that even poorer countries are better, but the only great thing in Switzerland what nobody wants to say is the money you get every month. It is almost sick how much people save the money. In the system of Switzerland a hole that will one day collapse.

Good! And as a Switzerland I still denied equality outcome unlike USA politician who wanted Equality on everything without talking about equality responsibility
"A large gap between the rich and the poor". There's virtualy no poor in the switzerland, that statement is misleading. People with less money there are still able to have enough money to cover basic needs and still have money left to invest and enjoy life, and that's what's important. I live in a country in which the pay gap is small, but 20% of the population can be considered poor, that's why a lot of people from where I'm from move there. Even construction workers or cleaning staff can have a good life there. I don't care about the wealth gap between "the rich and the poor" (in these case, between high class income and low class income). What I care about is that people with lower incomes are still left with ENOUGH MONEY to not only cover basic needs, but to also have a good life.

Fixing the wage gap is like fixing the gap between stupid people and geniuses. You can't. There will always be smart people...As well as stupid people. The only way is to lobotomize the geniuses... Of course that would be counter productive. Just like trying to fix the wage gap.😁
When you starre to an Impossible, always close your eyes to really see. Because according to the side of the gap where you currently are, perhaps a solution will be seen. Or not. Nothing personal, simply remember this: each "stupid" can teach you something new. Or you can figure it out, or life will send this lesson back to you.
Swiss also have the highest debt in the world just ahead of Australia. So does that mean all the poorer are taking out loans they cant pay off to buy houses? and a crash will result there or is the govt taking on huge levels of debt? Damn Alux, I don’t want to procrastinate but with your Videos I can’t resist
*they have a higher gdp per capita than the U.S. of A.🇺🇸* 💪🌝
I have a potentially inaccurate theory that *gdp per capita* is a better measure of national wealth than gdp a lone, but *gdp is a better measure of international power/influence*
There are 6 countries that have a higher GDP per capita than the USA
Make one like this about the USA
Dear Alux.com
I live in Switzerland and this video that you have done is ... not true. It's true that it is beautiful, clean and rich. But you forget how much a person has to work to survive at all.
Proud to be ChiLanka🇱🇰🇨🇳
Peace loving Switzerland is actually a major weapon's exporter. In 2014, the country ranked #2 when it comes to weapons exports per capita. Among other things, Swiss manufacturers are exporting assault rifles, sniper ammunition and tanks to countries like Saudia Arabia, Ukraine.
0:12 something cut there
I like how the actual question gets addressed half way through the video to stretch it to that 10 minute mark
And it was even answered.. incorrectly to say the least
Love u Switzerland feom sri lanka
what if a government begins to change the company-policies to be taxes paid by shared-ownership (between the government and each company) and use the profit to finance the country?
If you are employee, It is good to live in Switzerland. you work high quality job and pay tax. If you are very rich, it is good to live, safe, less tax than other Europe, clean. If you are entrepreneur who want to do your business, Switzerland not perfect place to live. You will burn your money very fast.
Useful, I never knew that! 🤔
Would love some of that riches.
why should we tell strategy to fill the gap between rich and poor of Switzerland, instead we want to know their strategy to become rich and wealthy...
They're many reason why I love Switzerland number one it's banking systems and they supreme democracy
Most Swiss people are struggling because of high cost of living. Switzerland is far from a rich country.
I have been there and I know what am talking about.
"Switzerland is far from a rich country"
Care to back that up? What you have said doesn't seem to be based on evidence.
@@salsa564
It is based on what I saw in April this year. I went to Lausanne, Switzerland. I was very surprised by what I saw. The way I define rich is different from how others define rich.
@@mara6696 it is relatively to other European nations
@@tomgraceffa4401
I don't think so because I live in the UK. Also I have been to Germany, Ireland and other EU nations. Switzerland has very high cost of living.
@@mara6696 yes they have a high cost of living but people have very high salaries generally speaking, so it tends to equal out I think....also I have a number of Swiss friends who tell me how rich their country is
It’s not pronounced Nestlay, it’s Nestle, the e is pronounced like the e in egg.
Switzerland is the best country
My thought to achieve the financial gap, is to grant people of lower who had a stable income yet desires to grow an opportunity to better themselves and their surroundings, this might what you called "free marketing"
its pretty funny you see Bertarelli a lot in the alps and I drive a lot of ski races against his son :)

Who ever been in Switzerland?👍
*Okey, Don't need to reply to this comment alux, but was I right in that last video's comment about the word at **9:27** something? Don't reply just give some signal that I was right!*
The flag is a square. The flag in your thumbnail is wrong.
there is no strategy! They don't make their money the same way!! The rich invest their money while the ''poor'' work for their money! The ''poor'' need to start investing their money and they will go up the economic latter! And that starts with education!
Very interesting video! Thank you!
Switzerland is much richer then where I live

Remove barriers to entry so it's easier to setup businesses. Furthermore have people educated in finance and investment so people can have assets
Interesting
thank you !
Great video! You are still going and it's so inspiring for me to keep pushing even more on my channel, thank you! :)
Inequality is a good thing folks!
Good! And as a Switzerland I still denied equality outcome unlike USA politician who wanted Equality on everything without talking about equality responsibility
Allez Xamax!
Do one in Norway
Hey alux friend ❤️💙(still long way to go alux friend)

Ok so what city is the best to meet rich single men in Switzerland?
Zürich, but they don`t meet with Golddiggers like you !
Fixing the wage gap is like fixing the gap between stupid people and geniuses.
You can't.
There will always be smart people...As well as stupid people.
The only way is to lobotomize the geniuses...
Of course that would be counter productive. Just like trying to fix the wage gap.😁
I believe you
When you starre to an Impossible, always close your eyes to really see.
In Aust here, we have a massive housing debt about to crash, so i read swiss housholds are in similar debt?
In Switzerland it is better to have housing debt because you pay less tax if you have a mortgage.
@@ilovesuisse1 and also you do not have pay all back the money to the bank at some point, you only pay interest, at the moment for fix mortage 2019 is 0.9% average for 5 years and for the variable is up to 2%👋👋
It's not irresponsibility, it's strategic. The housing crash, no-debt fearmongers end up losing in the end.
Wo sind mini Schwizer🇨🇭❤️🇨🇭❤️🇨🇭
