    As an ISFP who’s 17 i’ve always been really stubborn and always had a strong desire to do what i want. Like my parents would’ve wanted me to study law school since my mom’s a lawyer and i would’ve had it easier. I told them from the start i refuse to do anything else but interior design/architecture and maybe even fashion design or singing. She wasn’t happy but since i refused to even try anything else she had no choice but support it. I always gave the side eye to my friends who let their parents choose their careers or do something they absolutely despise just to make them happy. Like i love my parents as well but i wouldn’t compromise my life like that. Like what’s the point of making everyone else happy if you ain’t happy yourself

    • @honor9lite1337
      @honor9lite1337 3 года назад +4

      To address your last point, it's called Fe, honey.
      A healthy Fe I suppose, that is you become happy when you make others happy by servings their needs(to the point of self sacrifice).
      Any successful society cannot function without it.
      Probably any Fi dom difficult to understand this concept.

      @@honor9lite1337 ok but i still don’t get the point of being something u don’t want to be just for pleasing other ppl. Like what’s the point of becoming a lawyer just bcuz my parents would be happier than if i were a designer. In fact it’s my life my future and my happiness. Other ppl might call it selfish but i call it being smart and authentic. My grandma(ESFJ and mom(ISFJ) and 2 best friends( one is ISFJ and the other one isESFJ) always call me self absorbed simply bcuz i know what i want and while i care about pleasing ppl i don’t do it to a point of sacrificing myself too much. Like my grandma always talks about how all her life she only did what made other ppl happy at her own expense about how she always cared about what other ppl think of her and always chose her life based on what make other ppl happy .same did my mom. Like they always treat ppl well even though those ppl treated them like crap for the sake of”mantaining relationships” while i am not necessary rude if i had enough of someone i say nothing and just leave pretending i don’t even know them. Like just ignoring their existance

    I’m an Isfp and this was so helpful! In the past I have lost jobs for lack of caring about them. Even the best, most well paying job I could’ve dreamed of that had all the benefits I thought I wanted, it wasn’t enough. I couldn’t get myself to care. I knew I was slipping with my attendance and workmanship. Colleagues and friends were like WHY?? And the only answer I had was “I just don’t care about this job”. I’m working on ideas of what to do next and this video gave some really good pointers on self reflection. Thank you!

    I'm Isfp and that really relates to me. If I can't see a purpose, a future or importance to something I have to do, I'm gonna do nothing about this, don't matter how "important" (or how people say how important) it could be. And I actually don't care about a lot of things, so… ya know. Idleness.
    At the end of the video, when you talked about the isfp leadership, somehow I understood why I've always taken the leadership of my past school group works (in an almost instinctive way). Even when it was overwhelming to me, I loved, LOVED to be on that position of management, giving ideas, finding solutions, delegating tasks etc. It was always a strange desire to me, but I really wanted to be a leader in some way. I have to discover more about it. Thank you.

    As an ISFP, every mmo I’ve ever played, I was a guild leader. I enjoyed making the calls. If it reached a point in the game where my guild wanted to merge and I would lose leadership in that merge, I started backing out of that game lol. Super selfish but I don’t like being ruled over. My parents always warned me that no matter what I do in life, I’ll always have a boss. It was slightly infuriating to accept that truth. I intend on becoming a teacher / orchestra director. It should give me a small measure of the autonomy that I want. I remember when I was younger, I would pull all nighters easily to finish an art project or finish writing a piece of music. Once I’m motivated, I will plow through the work with little regard to eating or sleeping xD But at the same time, motivation can disappear easily and the most painful thing is, I have to be self motivated. No one else can motivate me. Though I did have a teacher, whom I suspect was an ESFJ, whom I absolutely adored and was willing to work for. They gave good constructive criticism and always gave lots of encouragement. They made time for all their students that wanted to work individually. They always built students up. They’re what made me want to become a teacher.

    Leadership? No. They lead just fine. They are quite adorable when they get people under them that want to be there. They have a little trouble firing people, but they move on okay. Their trouble is putting up with being an employee long enough to get the money to go off on their own. Like all artists, they do best when they get themselves a patron as soon as possible.

    Wow, as an isfp I do not relate to being lazy on the job. Since I am 18, I have gotten or been offered a promotion at almost every job. I just got a promotion at the job I've been at 7 years, over others who had more technical experience, because of my integrity and passion on the job. I detest laziness and chatting on the job. Im guessing thats a Fi-Te loop that causes me to get completely irritated with people who dont care on the job and have low motivation or don't see the purpose in the job. That being said, I dont necessarily love my job. But I see the why behind what I bring to the table.

    ISFP here. Tks, but I was actually expecting a video that talks about how to be a more mature ISFP, perhaps with real tips on how to become a more subconscious or unconscious-like person. 'Crush it' seems to be one of those useless books on 'follow your passion and you won't have to work one single day of your life'. C'mon, caring for something does not necessarily pay the bills, Joseph. You know that!! INFPs and ISFPs are the types with the lowest incomes, in contrast to their subconscious types. Following a personal passion and unrealistic perspectives has led both types to insufficient impact. Let's be honest here: a passion that nobody cares about is a hobby!! Asperger's is basically like having Fe-PoLR, and though there are Aspies of each type it would seem to fit both ISTJs (for the more tedious detail oriented variety of Aspie) and INTJs (for the more fixation based variety) better than types with more usable Fe.

I could not reconcile my “bossiness” in certain projects with my usual attitude towards letting people do what they want. I have even been annoyed at others in projects that did not meet my same production level. Even your point on art...I used to love to create and draw and paint but my work never received as much praise or appreciation as the art of others in my class. It took the wind out of my sails where I lost motivation to paint because I felt like I wasn’t good enough. This is making me reevaluate that decision.
