I have a Westinghouse RS643V S by S refrigerator and the water dispenser stopped, I found the connector to the water pump was loose, pushed back it was working but again stopped. I tested the voltage on my Kenmore side by side refrigerator ice maker model 106.5 by placing the prongs of a volt tester in the L and N test holes. The reading was 21 volts, is this normal volts that is used to operate the ice maker? I also tested the heater by placing a 14 gauge wire in the T and H test holes and nothing happened. Other than the ice maker the refrigerator runs great. Any suggestions on how or why my ice maker may not be operating?
I have reconnected all of the solenoids to the corresponding color plugs and reconnected all of the water lines. I am getting water to the water dispenser for a glass of water but when the ice maker attempts to fill water comes out the water dispenser. I have changed the water lines around but I am unsure which ones go where. My tubing is not color coded and my refrigerator is a Whirlpool model. Thanks
Hi great video, lots of help, but before I go out and buy another valve, i wanted to know how to test the one i have now to know iif its working or not? the problem i have is that i have very lo water presure, but I blew through teh water supply hose and i could not get any air through so it made me think it was cloged. anyways hope you can reply thank you
I have reconnected the color coded wires back to the solenoid, but what if the wires are reconnected upside down? I'm not sure whether I have done so, but the frozen food in the freezer has defrosted. Any idea where I went wrong?
i just installed mine by myself was very easy, took water a few mins to come out, but the only thing is when i let off of the water dispenser button it make a weird noise and drips a little after water flows out. but other than that it was very easy and thank you for the video.

Hi Steve, I have same triple solenoid valve I just replaced. Thing is no water in the ice maker line. Water dispenser works, so I switch the yellow/green connectors with water dispenser -ice maker and then no water for water dispenser. The ice maker does work and cycle, makes ice when I manually put water in there. Seems the electrical line and connector from the ice maker to the valve? Or can a thermostat affect this also? I was able to switch the solenoids because I think the solenoid to my freezer ice maker is busted. Water came leaking out of the freezer, and the water didn’t work on the front of the fridge. Safe to say it is the solenoid?
Have a Kenmore 106.51783 412, Already replaced the ice maker. To check the valves I swapped the water dispenser and the ice maker solenoid wires. When the water dispenser was pressed in the door it filled the ice maker indicating to me that it is not the solenoids. That means power isn't getting to the ice maker water valve, any idea's?

The How To Change part was good, but I agree with Bruce, how do I know I've got a bad valve? If you remake the video, mention the reason for 3 hoses. Is one of them running to the water dispenser (which I don't have)?
+Robert Blake come as a unit 3 valves, usually if one goes soon the others will follow they usually do not separate the three as remounting the valve in an existing manifold might easily not fit the same mounting

When you press the water dispenser, water fills the ice maker causing it to over flow and leak all over the freezer and into the ice dispenser. Water then leaks thru the ice flap and runs down the front of the door. Why is the ice maker (which is full of ice, or the arm is up in the off position) calling for water? Frigidaire FRS6LF7JS0

+Giselle Rios It sounds like you may have reversed the wire harness connectors to the dual portion of the valve, one is for theice maker and the other is for the dispenser.

Condensation seems to be starting at the ice dispensing flap and after accumulating, it overflows from the cup shelf of the ice/water dispensing door. Water ends up on the floor. The way that I isolated the problem was by drying the whole water and ice dispensing area completely and after an hour, I began to see the condensation at the ice dispensing flap. There is no water coming out of the water dispensing tube. Any suggestions?
***** You most likely have a problem with the dispenser door seal, the ice door chute or the door return spring. The water line for the dispenser is probably frozen and caused from the air leak.

I have LG side by side door fridge, its water pipe line started leaking at one place, I cut the pipe and put a joint there. Now the pipe started leaking at diff place. As I fill water from dispenser same time water start leaking on back of fridge. Is this due to just water pipe gone weak or possible some other problem in the fridge i.e. water goes in higher presssue tearing the pipe. Pl suggest what I can do for this. Thanks
Hi trex! Thanks for watching our video, and for the great question. One of the water tubes will carry water from the inlet valve to the water filter and is usually brown in color. The other tube will return the water from the filter and it is normally a clear tube. Hope this helps!
Have a GE Model#GFSL6KKYBLS. When I attempt to get water from the door there is a loud noise (like a running pump) and the water is dispensed at very slow rate. Hi Miguel, The valve may be defective. The water supply to the valve may be restricted or there may be a restriction in the water lines from the filter or reservoir. You never mention what is caused with a bad Triple Solenoid Water Valve? No ice or blockage, or leakage. Address the problems before showing how to fix it.
