The Comica doesn't turn itself off when you turn the camera off, but, you get 60 hours so if you're recording all day and forget to turn it off you're still going to be OK. It can also be used while charging as well so if you have a USB power bank you can top it in a pinch.
I really appreciate the outdoor tests you did especially at farther distances away from the camera. I use a lav mic right now for indoor and outdoor shots, usually around 3m away from my camera (smartphone). I hate the wire but it seems cheap wireless mics will be junk and good quality ones are outside my budget. I also want to be able to film people without needing to mic them. I'm thinking of getting the Comica, just not sure I'll be happy with any shotgun mic for my needs.
In general both sounds like very similar, but I found a better taste of sound in the Røde outside, and indoors I like little more Comica , for the price o will go with Comica
Thanks for the very good video ! Good energy and good design in how you do this. Got a preference for the Comica from what I'm seeing/hearing, I'm gonna try it out !
To me Comica sounds better 😮, the rode sounds narrow to me if that makes sense to you😅. One question I got is can vm20 be used on a Samsung S series phones via USB C to 3.5mm cable.?(I know it works on older iphones with 3.5mm jack but not sure abt S series phones). And can vm20 be used for Asmr video creation? Are these shotgun mic suitable for asmr video recording?.😊
I was hoping the wind with dead cat test would have been done in combination with using the low cut filter. That's what they are both there for after all. Generally I am still not finding reviews of "shotgun" microphones to record things like performers or outdoor activities like sports where the sounds of engines or skates or balls being kicked is what you want to capture, not avoid. Everyone seems to be narrowed down on vlogging at arm's length.
It was not a fair fight vs comica and Rode mic . There was a man walking behind even while using the comica mic and when it was time to use the rode mic check, the man was also walking in this position.
It was recorded at the same time, mate) check the setup in the video - I shot it and explain how it’s shot. Left channel was for one mic and right channel for the other)
It may be a sponsored video but we must be neutral in any situation and to know that this thing is better we are responsible for the thing if we do something wrong and market it.
How did you like the sound of Comica VM20 vs Rode VideoMic Pro? Which one do you prefer?

If the distance is 2,5m or less - shotgun mic is good)
I think for quality and use in a room I would use the Comica by far.
Comica gets my vote in this comparison. I’d not heard of this brand but am strongly considering it now 🙏🏼
Really a good comparison, very helpful. I like VM20 sound much better. Thank you!!
Welcome) stay tuned))

Low-cut filter isn’t for the wind only. But I accept your idea)
Great tests, regards from Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤
Thanks mate 🤗
I'm planning to buy Comica traxshot pro just to record indoor videos. Do you think it's better than VM20?

Great video!
What about comica VM30 vs RODE VideoMic Pro+ ?
VM30 is almost exactly like the vm20, and I didn’t test the ride videomic pro+
Thanks, I am buying one or the other and wondering which one sounds better for indoor recording. I think I am going with the VM30 :) @@NOlimitsON
