I have been diving on these trails since the early 2000s(high school). They are a nice place to go and relex, even for a local like myself. Most of them are very very easy to do and you really don't need 4x4(on most) unless its muddy or winter/snow. Just be nice to the roads and please stay on them.
Wolf Den Run State Park near Deep Creek Lake MD is an actual OHV park with over 30 miles of jeep trails and even more atv/sxs/bike trails. Hopefully you all can highlight this great new facility.
I'm on Green Ridge alot in my CJ5 or KLR 650. Twigg Rd is all graded and gravel now. Mountain Rd to Cliff Rd is a nice ride even down into Yonkers Bottom. Piclic Rd is the gated seasonal Rd in this video. Although short Polly Neil is more of a high clearance trail. If you enter GR at 15 mile Creek Rd take left onto Doug Hill Rd out to Orleans/Oldtown and make a left. Go a mile and take Carrol Rd on the right keep on truckn and make another left and you will end up at Bonds Landing. You'll thank me for this route. Best of luck to everyone. Ride safe! Many Creek Crossings on this route
Enjoyed your video was very beautiful. My Uncle and Aunt are the former owners of the farm where 1812 is located!! My old stomping grounds with my family. Thanks for supporting the brewery. We wish it great success!!
I have been wheeling those roads for more than 40 years. Had a great time back in the day going through more than a foot of snow and stuck there many times
Oh kool, western md. Maybe a days drive or less for me. Hopefully it'll be open if & when I can get me an off roader. Like to get 1, something like the Jeep LJ, looks prodigious.
@@DrivingLine are you saying that the off-road vehicle Trail is open or just the park itself is open? The off-road vehicle Loop closed in 2010. If you want to do any real off-roading and you're from Maryland you go to Virginia, West Virginia or Pennsylvania or even New Jersey. Maryland's pretty well a dud. If you're looking for scenic drives Maryland is quite beautiful.
Green Ridge local here...nice little flick and the Oak Barrel rocks! But for the love of all that's holy, it's a state FOREST, not state park..c'mon man!!! 🤣 Keep your eyes peeled for a new offroad park that'll hopefully open this year. It's called Toxic Offroad Park. Check them out on Facebook. I believe they have an Instagram page too but it's not real active...yet! 👍
Funny that they see this State Forest as an offroad destination. One more time people....."THE ROAD SYSTEM THROUGHT THE STATE FOREST IS NOT AN OFFROAD TRAIL SYSTEM.! They closed the offroad trail years ago partially for this same thing. Off roaders wander off the main roads and make there own little trails and obstacles through the forest at will. They opened new offroading facilities just for this. Use them. Tear the trails up! Not the State Forest roads that many travel just for the scenic pleasure or to access the forest to camp at the 100 designated campsites in the forest. Driving through mudholes at 50 mph on these roads is not what they are designed for. they are access roads for people to enjoy the State Forest. After awhile, tax payers dollars has to go into repairing the roads so people can access the area again. There are no signs that state this and it isn't recognized by the city, county, or state agencies as any different.
Bryan Housley Hi Karen. They stayed on the trails and pushed that adamantly in the video that this is not an offroad park. You’re just upset because they didnt slow down for puddles. Refer to his comment at 8m30s.
Spent many a year playing on those trails and then when I had my daughter would take her and my nephew we used to have a blast on these trails there endless
... Great video!! Thank you. ... I live on the other side of Baltimore in Harford County. I would like to do some weekends on my dual sport, Honda CRF 300 Rally and camp overnight. Looking for any info on campsites and trails instead of just riding blindly not knowing where I am going. Again, thank you! Jeff
Wish we could have seen a bit more of the road to the overlook. Some of the best areas in the forest to explore, but keeping it unnamed for obvious reasons lol.
You use to be able to ride atv, dirt bikes, utv,s on the 13mile greenridge loop. I thought they stopped that. I used to ride up there. Had to get a yearly pass but they stopped selling them.
How long ago was this filmed? The culvert on Twigg road is almost washed out, I saw the mud holes on twigg road but not the culvert. Thought for sure you guys would have showcased that tricky situation.
That was fun to see. I’ve been there twice on hunting trips, and wish I had my current 4Runner off-road back then. We couldn’t make it too far down twig road at the time. What sized tires do you think are minimally needed for that? Are the stock 20” big enough to handle it? I may go back in 2021. Thx
Is this near Deepcreek ? Any chance I could get some coordinates or something that would help me find this location ? Feel free to I M me if you don't wanna put it on blast , would totally understand .. great video !!!
I live here in Greenridge. You could drive a Yugo on the roads here. Yes they are dirt and gravel. Do us here a favor don't promote are area as a trail system.
Amazing video. Please do more trails in DC/VA/MD areas. I’m new to off-roading and hoping to learn more about trails near DC!

I'm from Hagerstown, Md. Thanks for showing Western md and giving our backyard some love.✌
Me too but I could've sworn they shut this down

Is there a comprehensive trail map for the route you take on this video? I'd love take a drive on this trail system!
Just go up and explore bud. Lets not discuss routes here and get too many public wheelers in the spot.
Been camping and driving Green Ridge for 30 years. Love that place
I'm waiting to be able to buy my truck. Once I do, this will likely be the first trail I hit with my 3 boys.
Very cool, will definitely plan to visit with the family in my 4runner after its built. Easy drive from Pittsburgh.
I’m hooked this ride is on my to do list , thanks great video
It's a beautiful , amazing and wonderful !
Always had a soft spot for those LJ’s, and that one is 🔥🔥

Great video. Living the good life.

Back in the day we used to drive through the green ridge tunnel. It’s kinda sad they have it all locked down now l
Thank you!! Just getting into this.
Very cool live in Baltimore did not know of the trails there
Spent a lot of time there. Definitely a friend of Greenridge
Nicely done.

I'm a newbie first time to own a truck.my 2022 tundra is arriving this month
Hi Pat I subscribed to most of your channels and I also watched Jen Channel
My backyard playground as well, we lost some trails a few years back to State of Md logging but still a great place to explore
How long ago was this filmed? The culvert on Twigg road is almost washed out, I saw the mud holes on twigg road but not the culvert. Thought for sure you guys would have showcased that tricky situation.
I think its cool you’re exploring the east coast. Any other places you can let us know about would be awesome!
Like the LJ 🏁
Nitto or Toyo mt 37s for Jeep JLU overlanding?
Can we get more videos like this?
There's an entire series of On The Trail! ruclips.net/p/PLzmFpekl13YeEQDo7YAmGSJzQus-r1qzq
Also any chance you could share the trail map? Thanks!
Are most of the trails open? How long did it take to complete your route?
Can you camp off trail?

20 inch tires? I think you meant wheels but wheels/rims have nothing to do with it. A stock 4runner will be able to this trail no problem.
Do you need a permit to use this trail?
No it’s all state owned

Craig Versetti might be able to google some info & coordinates with google maps.
I was watching Shane Dawson and I accidentally clicked on this and I thought this was part of his video XDDD
Do you have a address for the entrance to the trail?
All the dislikes are from Toyota fanboys. Obviously.
Looks like I accidentally clicked this ad.

1812 is my favorite oasis!
Bill Jordan . My Uncle's old farm!! I wish it success.
Since they're reopened, I'm trying to set up a trip out here for a day or two. If anyone's interested let me know and we'll make it happen
Too bad the actual ORV trail is closed.
The trails in this video are still open? Is this the green ridge state driving tour?
@@andyham6094 the trails they show are just gravel county roads
Please pleas please show me somewhere to go wheeling where you CANT take your wife’s daily driver!,
Looks like fun! If you are looking for more off road trails on the east coast, check out appalachianbyway.com
It's an overland route that follows the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.

Sorry, boredom city.
Not to mention they closed the actual off-road trail years ago. Maryland is pretty well the No state. Greenridge is just mild mountain dirt roads.
