Nicely done video! This really took me back down memory lane Austin. Ive been a member of the Red Rock 4 Wheelers and led this trail for many years during EJS on Wednesday's when we included a hike to Teardrop Arch, deep in The Land Behind the Rocks. Ber Knight originally showed us this trail and the hike both. The hike will make you feel like a mouse in a maze and we'd of never found the way if not for Ber. Ber wheeled well into his 90's and the last time we ran this trail with him he was still running his yellow YJ on 33x7 inch tires and Detriots front and rear! I think that was 4 years ago and he was 93. Ber passed away last month at 97 years........the passing of a legend in Moab. When any of us Jeep the trails of Moab, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Ber Knight and Jack Bickers who tirelessly defended the right for Jeepers to use them. They made a huge difference and what we enjoy in Moab is their legacy. The Grand County Commissioners are no longer supportive of the Jeep history and legacy in the Moab area. Be sure to let the Moab Field Office of the BLM know how important it is to continue the Jeeping legacy. Austin, you state in this video that the back half of the Moab Rim Trail is rather tame and I'll acknowledge that. We used to run Egg Ranch Fin and Death Row which took off towards the river just after Tire Test Hill. Those were the favorite part of the run for many Jeepers.......gone now because of the "Behind the Rocks Wilderness Study Area. "Wilderness Study Areas" (WSA) a cheating way for a group of government bureaucrats and employees to establish a "de-facto" wilderness area without congressional approval. Rant over! All of us and myself personally own Ber Knight more than we know. He is already missed.

My first time up Moab Rim was over 30 years ago with my CJ on 31's. There is no way it could even make it much beyond the parking lot these days on 31's. That's how much these trails have changed over the years. What's really fun (or really stupid) is to run this trail at night, which I've done twice now. It looks completely different in the dark of night! But I certainly love that trail. Great video.

Thanks. Great video and info. Just wanna say that 35's work on a properly equipped rig. Skid plates, front and rear lockers, 2.5+ lift, low gears, winch. Also great guides and experience is a plus. Just don't want the people with 35's thinking they can't run Moab Rim. Just pick the right lines listen to your guides and you should be good.👍🏻

The sketch factor is big either way but, yeah, that huge drop is staring you right in the face the entire way down!

I go up backside of la sals through la sal to medicine lake for some reason the gate at top is always locked. But great camping above 9000 feet. Great trails through woods.
In Moab I go down from dead horse. Spyder? Or spider. The one you drive under the rock.
When I drive Schaefer, I go down then back up instead of through that stupid potash plant.
I am an AZ STRIP GUY. Bristlecone area guy. For beating a jeep Mount Blanco Colorado works fine.
Grew up on Turkey Creek LBL KY.

There are places in AZ STRIP that I couldn't get my D6 through.
Moab is high. Best for doing this stuff. CA is best because you can sleep 8000 to 12800 feet. Sierra Inyo Mountains have plenty of crappy roads. 💩 for sure.
Moab is compact area. Known trails 👣 close by. Short mountain range. 5 peaks over 12k.
    Very scenic iconic.
