I prayed that God bring my children to their knees and that they become a true reflection of Christ!! He has already begun a work in them. The next day my oldest son was injured at work to the point he could not work. He said He felt God was trying to get his attention. He didnt and still doesnt know i prayed for him.

This message has come at exactly the right time for me. Thank you Dr Stanley for this message of hope and encouragement. I’m a mother of two adult women who is experiencing difficulties in my relationships with them that I believe is due to my faith. One of them has expressed that since I’ve been a Christian she feels she has ‘lost her mother’ and the other has expressed that she feels that since I’ve been a Christian that I am judgmental. I believe these feelings stem from them being unhappy with the fact that my new life in Christ and my relationship with Christ is transforming me to live my life according to a different worldview from what I used to have or to live my life according to a different level of standards from what I used to have, or standards that God requires me to live by if I am a follower of Jesus Christ. Any mother would agree that anything that causes disharmony between her and her children is devastating. It has been a time of extreme pain for me at times as well as a time of feeling alone and even confused and lost at times. I have been questioning myself and wondering if I’m doing things all wrong. The very things that I’ve been living out in my Christian walk thinking that these are the things that will point my kids to Christ are turning out to be things that according to my children are separating us. This message today has strengthened and encouraged me to persevere when I was beginning to feel hopeless, so thank you Lord for your word today spoken directly to me at a time when I desperately needed to hear from you. You are always able to do what I cannot so I will do what I can and believe in you for what I cannot do. Jesus you are the great shepherd, the great rescuer, who will leave the 99 sheep to rescue that one lost sheep, no matter how far it has strayed and no matter how hopeless or lost it may be, you are faithful when we are faithless and you are mighty to save. What about 2 Corinthians 6 14-18? Are we supposed to separate from our children, or elderly parents? I did not bring them up in the faith. I was not saved until I was 45. Maybe it's just not their time yet? Does God really require us to leave them behind??
Apparently there's not hardly any adults in christ that are commenting on this video. We have a bunch of babies pretending to be adults and not enough real adults in christ.
I find it difficult to believe that there is anybody truly saved who would ever NOT be concerned for the souls of those who are out of alignment with The Father! Especially our own loved ones and even more so our very own children 💔 my heart aches daily for my grown daughter who has been swept away by the world and living in disobedience. Not because I don’t want her making her own choices or because I think she is “a child” but because what is painful to our Heavenly Father is painful to me. And I also see the pain it brings her to be out of obedience and living for only herself. How could I not be concerned, Geoff? Why aren’t you?
@VelvetyMoon, this is her path, and your path as a parent is to let her go and let her have her path. If she's grown then you need to let her be grown and figure things out for herself. You can ache and hurt all you want to but that's not going to make her see anything. Maybe stepping back and not treating adults like babies is what parents should do.
