      I think most people favoured Sean in this fight. The question is how he does against someone that can grapple like Merab. Sean handpicked Chito because he knew he could beat him, even though there are at least 3 guys in the division more deserving of a shot.

    • @ImLaughingAtYou
      @ImLaughingAtYou 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@stephenhughes5156 He fought Aljo to get the belt. We saw him against that style. Only difference between them is Merab is on every "supplement" known to man. Also he picked him because he wanted to prove it was a fluke loss and because it was the biggest money fight in the division. Vera was getting more cheers than Sean. Merab doesn't have a fanbase. He's not going to bring a single penny to the PPV. As a matter of fact, people hate his style so much they probably won't buy the PPV because of his name.

      Because he lost? Lmao what? He got his leg compromised and got tkod from elbows. That isn’t an accident. It’s a loss. Kattar, Rakic, Conor, and countless others have lost in similar ways. I’m a Suga fan myself but there’s no other way to put it. He avenged it greatly tonight tho no doubt.

    Superb performance but O'Malley's days are numbered. Every fighter and every coach saw that if you get on the inside he's vulnerable to damage. Doesn't seem like O'Malley's long slender frame is very durable. The very few times Vera got on the inside and connected, O'Malley seemed to be quite affected by the shots... and the body shot at the very end seemed to hurt o'malley. I'm not hating on O'Malley. Just pointing out an observation.

    • @MrAlan287
      @MrAlan287 6 месяцев назад

      no shit! you think they dont know this. problem is trying to get inside without getting slip countered. the constant switch of stance is to set up the open side counter. its his money shot. he dropped chito with it in the fight. hes well aware of his flaw and counters it well

    • @madcaprex
      @madcaprex 6 месяцев назад

      @@MrAlan287 obviously it's easier said than done but I don't recall O'Malley being in this position before where he clearly dominated the fight from beginning at the end but at the same time got pretty roughed up from only several exchanges that benefited the opponent. Being long and skinny in itself isn't an obvious weakness. People like Max Holloway proved that. Max Holloway is long and slender but can also take a fucking beating. Perhaps I'm undervaluing the damage that Vera did during those few exchanges and peraps O'Malley can take a beating... but based on what I saw last night, the recipe to beat O'Malley might have revealed itself. Time will tell.
      Like I said, I'm not hating on O'Malley and I wish him a long and prosperous career. He's a talented individual and has earned everything he has attained.
