Going to be Debbie Downer but I was weak & exhausted on Keto eating less than 20 total carbs. It took 2 years to lose 7lbs. I switched to Carnivore dropping to O-5 total carbs. In 1 year I gained back the 7lbs plus 10 more. Went between explosive diahrea to constipation & bloating. Finally said I don't want to be so restricted - I want my fruit & vegetables back... Finally have energy & feel 100% better.

I eat over easy eggs and sardines with a side of bacon and I’m stuffed for the day. Sardines make me crazy full. If you think you don’t like them, but like tuna, buy the ones like crown prince slightly smoked in olive oil. Or the skinless, boneless and make it into sardine “salad” mayo, dill relish, egg, onion. The really cheap ones in mustard and hot sauce are extremely nasty! Sardines shouldn’t have a strong odor or be covered in slop.

Watch out for sourcing. The brand I had bought for years sourced from Peruvian coast suddenly changed to tiny print "PRC" CHINA! Goya brand sourced from Ecuador is a good product good-sized whole fish without a great deal of addtives. There are other brands in the smaller cans, the per ounce price on the Goya is the best deal though. The family behind Goya has some integrity and courage of their convictions they stood up to woke mob attitude back in 2020 withstood calls to boycott them.

Canned sardines (and salmon) with the bones are a unique opportunity to get more calcium into our diet, and the bones aren't unpleasant at all, so unless someone is hypersensitive I wouldn't suggest getting boneless ones.

    • @PudgyCurmudgeon

Here's a friendly FYI - Bragg has been adding water to its ACV for a couple of years now. It is even stated on the bottles. I noticed it right away when they started adding water. I found that my local Aldi sells a 33.8 oz. non-GMO, gluten free, organic, raw, unfiltered and unpasteurized ACV with no added water under its Simply Nature Brand. It is $1 cheaper than the Bragg 32 oz. watered down bottle. Both claim that they are diluted to 5% acidity but if Bragg then adds water that 5% is likely less than 5%.

On the other hand huge numbers of people are hungry 24/7 almost independent of what they eat. The only way for me to turn off my endless hunger is by eating low carb, and that takes at least a week for the hunger to turn off. Yet 2 high carb meals in a row turns it back on.
For a lot of us, meds like Ozempic are game changers.
Eating by habit without being hungry is one of those things that should be cured by counseling. Yet that almost never seems to actually work. Something is driving them to eat.

Ozempic works for most people, though to varying degrees. It isn’t just that you’re not hungry, there can be a mild aversion to food, or a very strong satiety signal that these people haven’t experienced before.

74Yr old gramma. I thought the very thing you mentioned about eating WO being hungry but I jumped in an got the semaglutide compound. It has been awesome. I have lost 50lbs in 7 months. What it does in turns OFF the food thoughts. You are not hungry and when you do eat you get full quickly. Cannot eat a whole hamburger or anything. I’ve started eating ANYTHING I want at lunch(11-1pm) then every evening(between 6-7pm) I have 1 cup or less Special K with protein or raisin brand with whole milk. Regardless if I’m hungry or not. It is sooo satisfying. The bran keeps the pipes moving right along. An my dog loves licking the extra milk left in the bowl. After I stop the shots, I will keep this plan of eating. Good luck from Houston.

HRT is the only thing that worked for me, I was so tired, fat and flashing and no sleep and crying. HRT for 14 years already. I will stay on it till I die!

It will caramelize you can make an excellent Carmel sauce with it. If you eat too much it can produce mild discomfort - not in everyone. Our bodies don't have the enzymes to metabolize it.

According to Dr Minesh Khatri from WebMd, a reputable source, “More of these beneficial short-chain fatty acids are made when we follow a plant-based diet than an animal-based diet. Whole grains left intact, rather than ground into flour, appear to lead to higher production of short-chain fatty acids”
Plant based is a healthier way to go. Natural and CHEAPER

@michelehaber61 I'm not wrong. You're talking carnivore diet. Keto is 7 cups of veggies a day and 6 oz of meat. But people eat only meat and dairy and that isn't keto. Keto is being in ketosis. It's a metabolic state, the inventor of "keto" meant it as a low carb Mediterranean diet but people like you have changed the meaning and put you're own meaning to it like 100 other youtubers.

@@theandersons777 watch Dr. Eric berg videos about keto information . He is the best . Sure you should eat a lot of veggies , but only 6ounces of meat doesn’t give you the grams of protein you need in a day which according to your weight should be at least 70 grams . 100 grams of protein I didn’t lose weight . And 6 ounce of a protein is maybe 20 grams of protein . Each protein source is different . Have to weigh or read labels . Like 1 egg = 6 - 7 gm protein . I eat 2 almost everyday
