4:54 my uncle, my little cousin watched him on tv and was so proud because his daddy's grandma[the queen] was on tv with daddy, we just let him carry on thinking that - he seemed happy.
Good morning Paul - many thanks for your complimentary comments as always. My camera is a Panasonic 28mm wide , 40x zoom , Full HD , HDC-SD90 I hope you enjoy all the celebrations over the next few weeks Regards
Retired US Navy and I have a question. In the first Navy unit there was a LCDR and he was carrying something. I couldn't make out what it was, not sure if it was a baton or a spyglass. Can anyone tell me?
I know it’s a bit late , but in answer to your question .. the LCDR, is a parade Marshall, he is holding a baton, if anything goes wrong in front he raises the baton to let the Marshall’s behind him know something is wrong .. there were Marshall’s all through the parade .. and they are constantly watching each otheb
The officer in question was a parade marshal; he was in radio contact with parade control and would have raised the baton he was carrying in the event of a problem up ahead, as would the other parade marshals at the same time. Stoping a column of a couple of thousand marching troops would have been tricky any other way...
It's a shame the local police chief cannot tell his officers to look a bit smart and wear helmets and tunics for the occasion instead of looking like security guards from Tescos.
will that be before or after China takes Russia down, don't forget you stole a lot of territory from them, and they want it back! late 60s early 70s there was a situation then when there was nearly a war when the Chinese flexed there muscles
Wonderful footage! thanks for uploading this for us across the pond! Wish I could have been there! sharp sound, clear shots! congrats! :)

It is a baton and his role is when their is a problem up ahead he raises it and the Navy halt. And the rest do it aswell.
Sailors marched extremely well - for sailors!!
This is great
would have been soooo exciting to be part of the crowed :)
