Imo, the peg 39 looks much better & much lighter than peg 40. Also, they remove the flywire. Not much worth of an upgrade. Dont know why Nike has been taking steps back on all iterations of running shoes models.
peg 36 fan here as well, i’ve been a pegasus fan since the 33, i think the 36 was the best iteration ever made so far, although the peg 40 feels real good in the 10km range
@@carlosvile9832 You should start seeing some sales on them as the 40s role out in different colors. My money would be on the next big sale being around the kick off to the summer season / father's day / 4th of July.
I have and where the 38 i also have 39 and I just bought the 40 I like the 38 over the 39 to me the sole is soft on the 38 which I love the 39 just feels a bit heavier To me and a lot sturdier haven't worn the 40 yet but I will take them for a test run
Hi, I'm a beginner runner, I bought a pair of 39’s today, hope I’ll like them. I wanted to buy Puma Velocity Nitro 2 but couldn't get them. Nike was my second choice. I'm glad I didn't opt for the more expensive Pegs 40 😀
for the updates, its common sense to go with the cheaper and lighter one. i have the pegs 39, and the react foam starts to feel very outdated compared to zoomx and other foams
I'm a guy in my 30's and a runner. I've put about 200 miles on my 39's and I won't be buying another pair of Pegasus'. They have absolutely no arch support, are overly narrow (I have medium/normal width feet and they're narrow for me. I've never had that problem with a running shoe before) and the foam midsole is already losing it's responsiveness after 2 months. Also, these are the first shoes I've owned that make my feet sore. It's not terrible, as I can still complete my runs in them, but even though they're a softer ride they are harder on my feet than the other running shoes I've warn. I really don't understand it. The pair I have are sized correctly so it's definitely not a sizing issue. I have about half an inch of space in front of my toes. I think it's the fact that they're completely lacking arch support. Overall, the quality feels a bit lacking. I've worn Brooks, Asics, Adidas, Hoka and Saucony, and the Nike's (in the same price range) feel a little bit cheaper than other shoes I've worn that were below $150. Especially with the upper which is plastic and has no stretch to it at all.
I STAR used the PEGASUS ...IN THE 80,s THE FIRTHs,,,after the 90,s NIKE DESTROY de iconic shoe ....I have the 39 PEG ..and yes the 40 is the same and more expensive....MOST of the running shoes today ... should cost and less $100.00 is just crazy every year ... models change ....and epidemic of FASHION RUNNERS ..... OMG
The best thing about the 40 is the 39 going on sale 😊
😂😂😂

Agreed. Change for the sake of change
Because Nike didn’t have a real plan for the Pegasus 40 so they copied and pasted from the 39 with slight unnecessary alterations.
they work barely away from one shoe and you saying all just to diss on nike?
@@hopoff812 suck it up, nike fanboy. Dont talk like you are on Nike’s payroll. Wake up, ur fan brand are falling behind
And there half off now
That zoom encased in react is glorious.
I've been wearing peg 36 for 5 years so I've waited so many years let's see how they made a change

Should I get a 39 or 40 now? I’m eyeing the UCLA 39. Update: copped the 39, looks much nicer imo.
Thanks for the video! I picked up a few pairs of Peg 39s on sale, won't feel as bad missing out on the 40s for a bit.
How many? I have 2 Peg 38s @ $60 each. I'm watching prices for Peg 39s

Not much of an incentive to upgrade from my 39. I'd rather look at the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 or the ASICS Novablast 3.
Good video, thanks for info
I havent bought pegasus since the 34s, the toe box kept getting smaller. How are the 40s?
Can’t wait for Vomero 17
tried both today, likes 39 better
10BUCKS MORE, and as the 39 was discounted so much its more of a deal as the 40 is a minor upgrade :P
Not sure what Nike's strategy was
Any plans to review the cumulus 25?
Currently working on the video! It’s NICE. Better than the Nimbus imo

Hi bro IMA buy the Pegasus 39s
How do u rate them
Do u like them
Cons pros?
good review
Anyone knows which shoe is better between Peg40 vs Adizero SL?
I have the 39, I bought the 40 and they feel much firmer 😑
Any idea on when the shields will be released for the 40s?
October time
Should I upgrade from Pegasus 39?
absolutely not , only reason to get a 40 is if you dont have one at all
For me, it came down to the color choices. The choices for the 40's I saw look like they were designed by Elton John.

Got the 39 Premium for $45 😊

mish mash of peg 37 midfoot cage and peg 39 lower basically
kind sorta!
37 still the prettiest
Agreed
I just kept buying 37s from eBay.
Those shoes hurt my feet so bad
Got the 39 for $48!!
Where
For real? Where?
I got pegasus 40 for $58.00 from official nike online store
In india i after using multiple coupans got pegasus 40 in 3300 rs that is equivalent of about 39.50 dollars
How ? Can you explain
Bro im getting peg 40 for Rs 5.5k, and peg 39 for Rs 4.9k which should i buy, are you ok with your peg 40?? Plz reply if possible
What's the difference between the Air Zoom Pegasus and regular Pegasus? What is special about the air zoom part?
Exactly have u found out yet?
The difference in price 😊
Zoom air give you more energy back. It's like bouncing.
