i watched ir yesterday and it was absolutely incredible. it's not even because of the brown eye contacts, the character being so shy, anxious and timid changes his entire mannerisms. in my opinion, along with the female characters he has done, john was a role in which I couldn't even see a glimpse of cillian. he is an excellent actor

One of the most gifted actors I've ever seen. He should have won an Oscar for this performance. That he thinks about subtleties like should his shoulders be relaxed or tense--wow. I wish I could see him on the stage. He's supposed to be phenomenal.

When he dropped the character back to the regular accent and then went right back into character completely, is just legendary acting. Reminds me of DDL
I was amazed how he dropped his sholders, & created an expression that made his character. Shy, lost man raised by a monstrous Mother. I must've watched 5 minutes & then realized is was Cillian. I believe since he is careful with his script choices & continues to act on stage makes him an actor who keeps growing.
Give this man a big movie of his own! I really have high hopes for Oppenheimer to be Oscar winning. He needs more title movies of his own. This man is a gem!

Comedy, Poignant, Horror, Intense. He really can do it all! I'm in awe of how he says so much with subtle changes in his face. From interviews I've seen, it shows he's a master of his craft. What a find this is. He looks so wonderfully different and yet the same. He reminds me of Tim Robbins here. Inspired to make his eyes brown so you're not distracted by his beauty. This character is meant to be anonymous. A towering talent - he just gets better and better. Misterman was a triumph and he outplays, IMO, all the posh english boys currently so in vogue in the UK acting world. He has a stillness and passion at the same time and is delightfully restrained on the celebrity circuit.

Pale make up, shadows under the eyes, eye lashes powdered out & he’s pulling his top lip tight. That & his brown eyes & hair totally change him. It’s like watching someone channel another human being entirely. He’s making me want to become an actor - inspiring stuff!
Well that was phenomenal. Did he have contacts in to make his eyes more hazel or brownish? I'm not sure that I would have recognized him in a clip, without being told that it was him. He's outrageously good, and outrageously underused. That might just be his decision since he still has kind of a youngish family so he may not want to embark on something that would pull him away from them for a year or more. Who knows? But his work is flawless.
This dual role as John and Emma in Peacock. So touching, the transformation of his/ her character. How amazing and tenderly can Emma open her heart and show her feelings. A great interpretation of Cillian. I haven’t words
