Why didn't the critics like this movie? His performance was amazing, he should have been nominated. The only problem I had with this movie was people storming through his door constantly unannounced, it became a little silly, otherwise Cillian and the rest were brilliant.

He was tremendous. A truly fantastic actor can play so many different characters, so many widely diverse roles... From the Scarecrow in Batman Begins, Breakfast on Pluto, Tommy Shelby, J. Robert Oppenheimer....he is truly incredible.
This movie is sooooo awesome....I was crying as I`ve realized, that the boy is his son. And that he´s fighting a last time against emma at the end, so they could go. °_°

I am a parent of a transgender person and this movie doesn’t depict the life of a transgender person adequately. Transgender people are not mentally ill and do no have split personalities. This movie had to have been hard for Elliot Paige to participate in. Its movies like This that fuels the falsehoods and lies about trans people. The actors were great but the script is awful.
This movie is about a person with multiple personality disorder where his other personality is a women, what is very common to happen. The movie is not about a transgender person, the character John is not transgender.
