I sort of still wish the S9 had a hot shoe for a flash but honestly? That's not what I use my S9 for most of the time. It's my bring on my daily walk camera. It's the first digital camera since my Lumix GX85 that is enjoyable to use!
So the kit lens is typically worse in low light, which will cause more noise. The number you wanna look for is your ISO. Make sure that’s not too high, I keep mine below 3200 if I can. You’ll have to change your shutter speed to make the image brighter instead of the ISO
My degree is actually in youth ministry, when I moved to the states I went almost full time photography and videography while volunteering at our church (which had no youth ministry position available). But then a few years later a job was offered to me out of the blue and it worked out well

Yeah I wish I could use the external xlr adapter with it, but same, it so good as a run around camera
Great content as always Thomas! Happy new year! 🎉
Happy new year Niall!
Good stuff…S9 looks interesting for photo luts….i wish Sony would update the ZV-E10II to allow user luts on photos
Love my S9!
It’s a lot of fun!
love the podcast setup! also first one 😁
Did you use a filter on your lens for this video?
Nope, just shot it on the fx30 with a sigma 16mm f1.4
i just got a sony zv-e10 and love it but theres so much noise is there a way to reduse it at all?
It’s down to your settings and your lens. Which lens are you using?
@@thomasjmcclure the kit lens at the moment

I could honestly listen to you chat about cameras and gear for hours. I hope you do continue making these podcast style videos.
Why did you change careers?
