I'm here after hearing Charlie passed away at 83. I was stunned to hear he still toured 100 cities a year up until covid halted everything. that's love for what you do! RIP Charlie!

I think the southern flag has compeltly changed meanings over the years. You can't argue that the south wasn't slave ridden, and that the southern flag represented that, among other things. However, I think now, in 2020, people use the flag to represent their southern lives and pride of being from the south. The flag now represents the south as it is now. Yes, its origins aren't the best of things. But now it represents a south that is now not racist and full of beautiful people. Make sense? That's just my take

This is my all-time favorite Charlie Daniels song. The musicians are absolutely fantastic in this song. You just cant beat good playing like this. Its a combo of Country and Boogie Woogiie. Its a feel good song all the way around.

Loved this band all my days. Used to work for MCA Records in Dallas, & we loved to kick up our heels to ole Charlie and the band whenever he was around. Still have to get up and "be proud...". It just fills every part of you with pure joy to watch musicians of this caliber entertain audiences of every age group and bring them to their feet with joy written all over their faces. Keep it coming, Charlie ! You are one of the very best bands to come out of the South. Blessings ~

I'm a Minesota boy born n bred but I've always said the South's gonna do it again, then agin Ah'm a long haired country boy and just a simple man, lived most of my life as a freebird, and more'n once needed that extra three steps, lived awhile 'long the Chatahoochie when I took a yellow van 'stead of a fast train ta Georgia. Guess that musta been the time the Devil went down to Georgia.

This makes me so sad, I will never forget sept 6/1992 in Easley sc upper sc fair me and my best bud buck got to go back stage and meet him in a small trailer they had set up, no air conditioning and it was definitely hot, he smiled and shook everyone hand who wanted to meet him, they say a lot of things about famous musicians, but this man was the real deal! He’s gone and carried southern rock with him. God bless you Charlie, I can’t wait to see u one day walking glory and playing that fiddle!
