- Recently, Toyota revived the XE name. However, it’s no longer found on the Corolla Altis similar to its predecessors. Instead, it has been adopted by the 2019 Vios and slots in between the 1.3 J and the 1.3 E. Today, we’ll be going back in time with the Vios XE for a 90’s throwback experience.

Our family bought the Vios XE through financing because it is what we can afford. Our family needs a car esp. during the current pandemic (mobility, work, less contact with other people, etc.). Yes, the Vios XE has many limitations in terms of technology, but our family loves this car, it represents our hardwork and being together as a family. It is indeed the Philippines' 'people's car', the vehicle for 'common' folks like me.

I am weird. I am Dutch and I like the car. Nobody likes sedans and basic cars with CVT automatic. I do. Unfortunately this car is not sold in Europe.

this XE is ok, but a good tip is to ask the dealer to put power side mirrors. maybe it would cost less?!

sometimes I think when toyota PH removes features, its just to piss people off, why would they remove the side mirror adjusters LOL, they're probably saving like 10-15 pesos by doing that

@@Carlo_C. i hope so. Because I had already ridden several pre facelift model, grab, service, even my cousin's vios, etc., the aircon is not that cold.

I prefer installing a temperatures gauge a mount it in top of the dash.
Oh yeah, this is not a new gen vios, it's a facelifted version of the 3rd gen vios on which is the yaris is based on. I don't know why you people still don't get it.
Toyota "fans" will buy everything the badge sells them. Like this vios xe, no mirror adjusters? Are you kidding me? And don't tell me toyota can't add it on this variant, because they can... But they choose to short-change you so you'll settle in a more expensive variant (which is overpriced). That's a company mindset I stopped supporting long ago. If I'm not buying an innova, camry or land cruiser im better off with what the others can offer.

The only thing nice about this car is the 7 airbags. Rest all? No acceleration, no good infotainment system, no dashboard signs, no button controls on the steering, and manually adjust the mirros? Amazing! :)

Mas magaan ng konti kasi 14 inch lang gulong nya versus 15 inch sa E.
@@carl9689 Mukha nga mas ok ang smaller tire if iconsider yung fuel efficiency. Although based sa dimension mas mahaba sya. Saka wala ako makita na comparison weight for the superman model curious ako if kaya nang 1.3 engine talaga.

Magpalit ka lang po ng 15 or 16 na mags tapos yun mataas na gulong. Tapos lagay ka din spacer sa coil spring. Sumasayad talaga vios pag 14 lang rim.

No side mirror adjusters. Come on... Always short-changing the people. And people are lovin it because it's "matibay" & "matipid". We're in 2019 now. Myth is over. If you're not buying a camry, innova, or land cruiser better look elsewhere.

Gas guzzler? It's because it has the heft, which is needed for stability, especially that this variant runs on 175 tires (skinny).
And by the way, it's "in the long run", not "in a long run". 😊
Vios series are ugly. Even this new vios has ugly rear. The Hyundai present and new Accent is better looking, but bumpy, noisy cabin and unreliable engine after 5 years. Just get the Honda City.

Buying this car with cold-hard cash, is a real value for money. But buying this car with a loan (which probably 95% of people will do) is seriously stupid. Just do a simple calculation and you will see how stupendous the interest is. Imagine, my 780k car has a monthly of 15,815php and with a dp of 40k; Vios XE with a price of 735k on the other hand has a 40k dp too, but with a monthly of 15,987php.

I don't like the front end..
Dont like the front of the vios but Almera is ugliest in the segment, even the body, the head and tail lights. Generally though, its the ford fiesta and the Pūke... I mean Nissan Juke. Even James Deakin said the juke's designer just wanted to offend as many people as possible 😂 its like a mutant alien craft or a cross between a frog and a praying mantis type of creature.
