A beautiful broken game that I'll forever love so much. I'd give up Connections just to get a fixed remaster of this game. 💕✌🏿
Generations hit the perfect balance between pacing, complexity, variety, and consistency. Then CC2 began to remove everything to the point where half of those features are removed/shortened every game.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations it is definitely one of my favourite Storm games to play... it is a spectacular fighting game from many points of view... the action remains true to the anime itself... it is the last Storm game where we had the side/4th combo available for any character and the combos were longer, after NUNSG CC2 they cut and shortened the movesets for all the characters which in my opinion it's really a shame from the CC2 themselves. Overall Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations will always remain one of my favourite Storm games to revisited and play again. #NostalgicVibes #Childhood #Memories ☯️🙆🏻♂️✌️
This game still had the best combat imo, tilt cancelling, no counter, 4 combos at the full storm 2 length instead of the 3 abbreviated combos we get now. For people that didn’t give a shit about story mode, this game was peak.

Generations, Revolution and Connections are all filler games but they have notes/stepping stones they use for the next Storm game. I really wonder how will they do Storm 5.
generations has the best multiplayer in the whole franchise, substitution bar, cancels, anko, shizune, kurenai (even if is only assist) and most important, 4 combos
They need to make Generations available on Steam. I don't care if it's regarded as the "filler" game. It's the last game to have Side Combos A.K.A. the last Storm game before CC2 started butchering the series.
Imo Generations is the second best in the Storm series but it's broken as hell, the only game where you could cancel your tilt with dashes which made some characters broken and gave infinite combos to character that don't have them in any other game than this (Danzo and PTS Kankuro are like top tier, Kakashi for example has an infinite thanks to the cancel), the first one that introduced the 4 substitution bars, custom ninja item was great but also made some characters limited by their items in future games stronger in this one. This was the last game to feature 4 ground combos for every character, after this one they removed and also shortened most of them, which also made some characters in this game really bad at future games (5 Kage Summit Sasuke in this game was insane, garbage at the next ones).
This game was everything! Each character had 4 different combos based on the way you tilt the analog which was huge for us fans. The substitution bar added was fantastic but it was so hard to go back to 1 and 2 for me of how great it was. As you stated, dash cancel was so helpful! While a mixed choice, it was nice having some extra characters to choose as an assist… only problem was they were assist only. The story updated with current lore known and the killer cutscene animations holds up very well to this day. My personal favorite part of this game was the artwork. Seeing all the characters artwork on the loading screen was the best or scrolling on character select, was so intriguing. Wish these were able to be bought as wallpapers because of how amazing it is. Only issues was the balancing… Ten Ten younger and Masked Man with edited item stock was a problem and or annoying. Overall, a great side game waiting for Storm 3. I have mostly fond memories… the only issue was losing my save file not once or twice, but 5-10 times!

With everything you've said, just place NUNS Connections into spotlight. People are comparing Generations and Connections as "in between games" but hell nah, we got a heavy downgrade, as if going from Generations to NUNS 1. No tilts, no 4 combos for a few games now, no cutscenes in history mode (Hell, not even some of the more popular fights made the cut), no drawn cuts at all either, bugs, awful online mode etc etc etc Might as well replay Generations, it's been a while :D

It's sad that in this franchise Storm doesn't have all the characters from the beginning in the classic and Shippuden like: Anko,Kurenai,Shizune,Ebisu,Team Oboro and Team Dosu kinuta,The 4 entire sound ninjas,Zetsu,Mizuki,Konohamaru Child and teenager,Orochimaru and his chunnin exam disguises as an adult woman and child,Kakuzu in Akatsuki's outfit And finally control others 3 Pains and the Sasori Puppet Hiruko But this game is good,it just missed some new characters from Naruto Shippuden and classics that have never been seen in the franchise before there should still be more characters in the complete story and new boss battles imagine if there was a generation 2 or a Storm focused on the entire Naruto Classic and Shippuden And of course Storm 5 saga with all Missing characters,fights,Transformations and boss battles in the right chronological order It would be incredible but quite impossible for it to happen 🤔🥺😮💨😁👍 like and Bye!
