  • Video cab ride aboard eastbound Soo Line Railroad Company freight train #228E from Davenport, Iowa to a little north of Clinton, Iowa on a snowy, cold January 19, 1995. Sorry for the hypnotic constant tapping of the windshield wipers! All part of running a train in the snow. A few things of interest to look for in this video include passing Davenport, Rock Island and Northwestern (DRI&NW) power at 2:35, Chicago & North Western power at 10:35 followed by the massive, long-gone C&NW Clinton car shops seen through the snowy haze on the left.

Are the wipers powered by air?
