The speed at plate races is realistic. They top out at like 195 in the draft now.

Honestly this dlc actually looks pretty solid and the Heat games are actually fun to play vs Ignition. I might actually buy it. I’d have to rebuy Heat 5 first though

@KENNY4753, for me GEN7 UPDATE in NASCAR HEAT 5 added 2 years late in my opinion.
Thought the same thing till I started a custom season with 36 races and of course as usual get to las Vegas and it crashes everytime you finish the race
It is all in all, they could polish some things more
I'd rather play FM7 with its couple of Nascar tracks and race that over and over again, than chuck money at these dipsh*ts that don't know what a racing game is.
As a Brit, I've only recently got into Nascar watching the Dale Earnhardt Sr reruns.
It is tragic the games are so neglected. It is straight up trash.
We need a NASCAR game that has throw back drivers and cars from all eras 60 70 80 90s and drivers Bobby Allison davey Allison waltrips Earnhardts labontes gordon Wallace etc
I stand by this 1000% pc modders can maybe do it but sadly consoles are left in the dust, I’d drop $100 on a nascar game like that
Plate racing is more difficult irl too now. The drivers have mentioned getting runs is hard now.
Gen 7 NASCAR cars in HEAT 5 only able to reach 198.8mph maximum.

You can make them, they have a limited editor in game and if your on PC you can go ham if you know how to use photoshop

One main thing I noticed is the high line seems to be a lot more effective at Bristol. The AI seems to favor the 2nd and 3rd lane over the bottom lane

We took Monster Games for granite. They started off rocky, but honestly H4 and 5 are two of the best NASCAR games in recent years. I feel they've ran their course on making NASCAR games, it's time for a new dev, but Motorsports games is an absolute calamity, and NASCAR isnt the only license they've snatched up and will hold hostage for the next decade. SRX The Game is really fun as well. These guys deserve more appreciation.
Monster did a great job with the World of Outlaws game. Heat 6 would have been great.

Since the Career Mode uses the 2020 schedule, it means that the removed race tracks are Chicagoland, Kentucky, and Atlanta.
Don't ask why the devs removed Atlanta from the schedule when it's already in the 2022 DLC
Also the player driver banners on the career mode are misaligned so lmao on that

I know a majority of people dislike Heat 5 on some level, but I think those people owe this game an apology. It's NOT that bad as they claim it is. Anyways, concerning the DLC: there is no excuse for not having the 2023 after all this time waiting for the 2022 content.

No COTA? No Nashville? No LA Clash? One of the things they said they’d include were 2022 tracks, I was excited for this. All they did was make Bristol Dirt, already used in the dirt series, accessible to the cup cars.

The draft is more effective like irl, the sidedraft is powerful, online racing is real fun: it’s a good update whether people hate or not
Gowen said that the dlc uses the ignition template, I would expect the 2022 mod with all the schemes in the next week because the modding community is that much better than msg
It goes to show how little the company cares when the shifting still takes the same amount of time, even though the gearbox is sequential now. The pit stops still being slow as hell, is also stupid. Man, the game overall could’ve used some TLC as it is 3+ years old now.
Chicago street course was not part off the 2022 schedule, it was added to the schedule this year

I think the superspeedway is just accurate to real-life maybe idk.
Looks like Radman is also inflicted with curse that is Daytona. If you're in the lead before the final lap, you lose. No driver has ever won being in first after the g-w-c and overtime rule. Even without overtime, it's still not possible.
This makes ignition look like real train wreck
They finally fix the audio issue.

It appears that the game continues to use the original/intended 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, however there are the notable exceptions to what's there: Indianapolis, Chicagoland, and Kentucky. It's possible that these were removed because of the fact that they weren't run at in 2022, or had a layout change since, and therefore just decided to forego having them be part of the schedule in-game.... Which makes no sense since the Indy road course is ALREADY IN THE GAME......
Gateway is in the game as well
Nashville, COTA, and Bristol Dirt for sure
i hope that the next nascar developer can get the greenlight to make a game title NASCAR GENERATIONS the name says it all multiple eras of racing.

I don't mind not having side crash damage since the front and rear damage looks so good. But side paint damage and scrapes would be great.

I’m liking the game. The restrictor plates a different is because that these cars today are 15 miles slower than what they were in 2020 and 2021

It is actually really tragic that Nascar gets neglected game wise.
For the fact the top 15 Nascar games has majority of the games being early 2000's, even with one from the damn 90's that is still supported shout out to the beautiful, beautiful Modders keeping it alive. Says it all.
Imagine if EA never brought out that Nascar game and the original dev team was allowed to blossom. What could have been!!!

What i’ve been told is that the Next Gen cars in this game seem to run at draft speed even when not drafting. Definitely feels more difficult to qualify, or even keep up unless you’re drafting
What i dont get is how MSG is able to sell a new product with old licenses.

Had a lot of fun **playing** the game but i did notice an issue in career mode where Byron nor Reddick have started a race this season 3 races in
It works for online and race now but if you have a 2020 custom season or career it will break it same with settings
I think you have to delete ur save files for the issues to be reverted
I wonder if motorsport games will do updates, patches, add ons, and fixes to make this update better

Gateway, Road America, COTA, Nashville, and Bristol dirt were all missing from that schedule at first glance. Three of those are in the game already so idk what the problem is...

Man the graphics for NASCAR video games has become insanely amazing and more realistic than ever before if NASCAR games when I was a kid back in the early 2000s was this good I would never leave the house I'd be playing NASCAR all day but I got I racing which is more realistic but this looks like a fun choice when I don't want to be serious and same with the Tony Stewart dirt racing games on my Xbox One

I believe the missing tracks are the road courses and Nashville. So essentially any track after 2020 is not in the game. if I’m not mistaken Road America, Chicago, Nashville
If it makes you feel any better, I always get a speed rating of 90-98, so it’s not so bad
In that season with 33 it was missing Road America, OCTA and Gateway I believe.
And Nashville
Ps4 user here. In the next gen mode of the game, it has crashed on me several times now. In the 2020 mode, DLC paint schemes are missing
I bought it and downloaded the DLC, nothing new showed up. reinstalled heat 5, again nothing new
try to keep doing this. It's an ongoing problem I know GOWEN had the same issue he kept uninstalling and reinstalling it and eventually it worked
anyone gonna tell him? the superspeedway drafting is OP in Gen 7 in heat 5 for some reason that shit is crazy and they get the meanest runs out of nowhere like its gen 4

Gateway is World Wide Technology Raceway Indy rc is there road America is there all 3 we’re in original game. Tho COTA is missing and Nashville since they both came for 2021 with Nashville Superspeedway being a thing pre 2021

For PlayStation, the game is more difficult for Daytona too. It’s not just for pc. The qualifying is slower and you’re 4 seconds slower and start in last place

2020 is unusable and nothing saves if you go to the main screen or exit the game. Otherwise the racing wasn’t bad. I’m On ps5
Edit: I know it’s not ideal but I noticed someone else mention in the comments it may have to do with saves created before the update so I deleted my save file. All my above issues were fixed

It's made that way since that's pretty much how the gen 7 car is. So far from what I'm seeing, they really tried making it realistic but I've only raced daytona so far. It's definitely plate racing and an improvement imo.
I cant do setup on 2020 either now.

Mine crashes every time I finish an online race, try to change my car online (ex. I selected Bubba, then tried to change to Bell and Harvick), Also crashed when I tried to start career mode and crashed after a Split Screen race [Im on PS5]

Kansas was 2022 track and in DLC Indy oval has not been ran since 2020 same with Kentucky

When you started the game, you selected 2022. Of course you’re gonna be in the next gen car online. If you wanna race 2020 online, you start the game in 2020 season.
Bristol dirt was already in the game, just in the xtreme dirt tour series only.
Technically the damage model is realistic now
Hey Radman , When the Bristol dirt race was added to the season, it replaced the normal Bristol race that was a night race .
No it didn't. It replaced the spring race which was always a day race

I play on Xbox, and one issue that I run into is that every time you finish a race, and you go back to the main menu, the game crashes. 100% of the time without fail. This makes career and championship mode impossible, as well as seeing how many wins and starts I have at a certain track. Now I’ve wasted $15 on a game that crashes every time I use it. Great. But at least I can play the 2020 season without It crashing.
The schedule is just the 2020 Schedule excluding Chicagoland, Kentucky, and Indianapolis.
