That's the girl's mother, not the maid, and she's poisoning her own daughter for the attention it brings to her as the parent of a seriously ill child. It's a psychological condition called Munchausen's by Proxy; she's not trying to kill her, but Munchhausen parents keep upping the ante and so do ultimately kill their children. The girl is a ghost because she's trying to save her little sister from becoming her mother's next victim.
No it's not. It has nothing to do with Munchausen. It's a step mother and she is trying to alienate the father and kill the children. Has zero to do with Munchausen. Why anyone believes that is beyond me. Just refusing to admit the woman is evil
Fun Fact: The 6th Sense was released August 6. I was working at a movie theater in 1999 (amazing year for movies) and got to see this a week early with a small group of cinema owners. Everybody was blown away and excited that it would be an unexpected hit. Next you guys need to watch UNBREAKABLE and SIGNS.

No, they are not lying. It’s just a game they play, Who had the best day? Instead of complaining about what a bad day they had, they tell each other about the best possible day. For the Mom, winning the lottery (monetary independence) and the boy, chosen 1st to lead a sports team at school.
So...lying. It's sweet, and pretty harmless, but it is lying, definitionally. It's also an important scene to show that, while they both love each other very much, they don't want to face reality and tell each other how they're really feeling. The mom is in denial despite seeing clues all around her: the cabinets and drawers all opening in a matter of seconds, the glow next to Cole in every photograph, the violent writings in Cole's notebook. Cole pretends that he and Tommy are friends, doesn't tell her about the incident with the teacher in class, fills his room with happy drawings, tells her that his injuries are from playing sports at school, and obviously doesn't tell her about seeing ghosts until their final scene together in the car. Again, they don't talk to each other about how they're really feeling. Instead, they make up a game where they lie to each other about how they WISH their days had gone, as opposed to how their days actually went. During the car scene, we can see that they're both slowly opening up to each other. Previously, Mom didn't want Cole to see her crying when he came into her room after dinner. She tried to hide it. Even during the dinner scene, she tries to show strength instead of vulnerability when talking about how sad she was about her mother's passing. She tells him that she'd be sad if the pendant broke, but she wouldn't show it. The scene where they play the game together shows the walls up, and the scene in the car shows the walls coming down. A lot of people only focus on Cole finally opening up to his mother, but they don't recognize that they're both opening up for the first time.
Haley Joel Osment was one of those fantastic child actors who knew the craft! he had made many movies while he was still a child. And now as an adult he's still acting, but you wouldn't recognize him with his tremendous beard.
Exactly, he was not just gifted (which I definitely think he was) he was also DEDICATED. In order to put his body in a state of high alert for one of these ghost scenes, unbeknownst to the adults around him, who would never have allowed it, he snuck into his trailer and repeatedly hit his head against a wall until he was elevated and shaking. Like he worked hard to be as amazing as he was, even at a really young age.
@@ellaphx I agree that the adults would never allow himself to do that, but that reminds me of how dedicated the late Heath Ledger was in his roles... especially his final role. and that makes me so glad that Haley never went down that road to self-destruction!👍👍
Love this movie and so enjoyed your reaction. You must have been sidetracked talking to each other when the timeline was revealed early in the movie. After Dr Crowe is shot, the scene opens with him on a bench and the words just before it at the bottom tell you it is a year later.
Thanks, guys. I love this movie. It's more than just scary film, it has heart. Something interesting is how present the color red is in scenes where the supernatural is present.
33:06 "Just for being late." Ironically, in English the word 'late' can mean either 'not arriving on time' (for example, "Dr. Crowe was late for the anniversary dinner with his wife, Anna") or 'deceased' (as in, "Anna was the widow of the late Dr. Crowe." So in this case it's correct either way.

It is fun to watch it several times and notice things that you missed before. This movie never gets old. In the beginning Cole is terrified of Malcom, like all the other ghosts but when he sees that Malcom can come inside the church, Cole knows that he is a good guy who won't hurt him. Malcom's wife could not stop grieving for him because he was still there and she could sense it. Of course, he wore the same clothes every day....there are so many little things. GREAT movie. It's really about the love between a mother & son and a husband & wife and a man who genuinely wants to help other people. Beautiful.
He wasn't worshipping idols. He is a child that misunderstands religion. He sees spirits. Those statues of religious figures represent spiritual people. Similar to a piece of paper representing monetary value. He believes that God is in those statues. He's relying on God through the representation of God's images . Another great reaction guys. Though as someone from the Catholic faith (as is displayed in this movie), we aren’t committing ‘idolatry’ by owning religious figures. We don’t worship inanimate objects but simply use them as a physical form of reverence. We show our devotion by displaying these religious figures around our homes. Other Christian denominations don’t do this. We all practice in our own unique way. Just some info if you were curious 😊
I always describe it as we don't pray to them, we pray through them. It's no different than having a friend put in a good word for you at a job interview.
My understanding (and feel free to correct me, as I'm not a Christian and never have been) is that saints and figures such as the Virgin Mary aren't worshiped, they are revered. All of which is a semantic issue, involving nuances that might well be challenging for non-native English speakers. No offense intended to our hosts.

Since you guys liked Haley Joel Osment (the little boy in this film) so much in this film, you really need to watch "Pay It Forward". He stars in that film also and it is a very touching film that you would really appreciate. You need not do a reaction to it, but you owe it to yourself to watch it!
I live in Texas and it is ridiculously easy to get a gun. It's actually pretty damn scary how easy it is. I traded a buddy of mine and 1899 $5 gold Liberty coin for a brand new 9 mm Glock. I would online to try to register it at turns out there's no gun registration in Texas. It's nuts
Best movie with the best twist ending that no one gave the ending away to. To this day no one gives away the ending. It is always exciting to see people figure it out at the end!
All M Night Shamaylan movies should be watched. I've heard his one that came out a couple years ago is pretty good but i haven't seen it. The ones to really watch are this one, Signs, The Happening , The Village, then in order, Unbreakable, Split, Mr Glass! The kid here is Forrest Gump son!
The reason the mom killed her daughter is, there's a mental condition called munschausens by proxy, syndrome. She had it. Also if u watch the movie Misery, the woman here has it also.
You're right, another thing that people in the USA don't realize is that it's so weird to have commercials for all sort of medication and to have commercials for medicine in general, when in most countries is illegal to promote or make commercials for medication on printed media, radio or tv.
About 30 years ago my mom told me something my younger sister told her. She was living at home with our parents and her bedroom was in the basement. Late one night/early morning she came upstairs to the kitchen to get something to drink. As she was standing in the kitchen, she said she saw a white misty figure drift from the living room, into the kitchen, into the family room, and out the door which led into the garage. They found out not long after that that the man who sold his home to my dad 30 years prior to that had passed away.
Bruce Willis has had an amazing career, you reacted not too long ago to Pulp Fiction. He even sang pretty good. He put out an album/movie called "The Return of Bruno" in 1987 (it was like a spoof or gag album/movie of an imaginary 60's rock star), I think it was his second movie. I first saw him in a television series in the late 70's called Moonlighting. So many movies of Bruce you can react to, Looper, Twelve Monkeys (both strange but makes you think), Unbreakable and many, many more!
This is indeed one of those films that you can never really watch in the same way twice. It's just as you say: Cole saw Malcolm *not* just because he doesn't like to share things with adults, but because Malcolm was a ghost all along and so he was already afraid of him. I understand that in Islam, it is forbidden to talk directly to the spirit of a dead person and indeed *praying* to the deceased, or ancestor worship, is very much frowned upon in Christianity as well. Nonetheless, there is a belief in Christian/European tradition that some spirits linger before, or instead of, moving on, either because they haven't accepted the fact of their own demise or because of some great injustice that befell them which leaves them restless and that some people are gifted and/or cursed with the ability to see them. This film plays upon all three traditions with an amazing twist, like you said. If you want a more lighthearted film that plays on similar concepts, see Jerry Zucker's "Ghosts" (1990). If you simply like films of an "I'll have to watch that again" kind, then a good non-supernatural one is "Fight Club" (1999). I admit that with the latter though, on the modesty front, your team might be kept a little busy.
I think Cole was unafraid of Malcolm, though HE knew Malcolm was a ghost, because Malcolm came into the church. Cole went there to seek sanctuary when Malcolm (a ghost) was first following him on the street. Instead of being barred from entering, Malcolm could come in and wasn't uncomfortable being in God's house. Cole recognized what that meant about Malcolm's soul.
The same child actor played a role in the movie "Pay it Forward". I think it's a very heartwarming, emotional movie about what good one person can do if they set their minds to it. (If you two ever decide to do a reaction to that type of Movie)
1. Haley Joel Osment played Forrestt Gump Jr, in "AI" and absolutely kills in this.🤩 2. I first knew when he met his wife when she was morning him alone at the anniversary meal. Only one place setting. 3. I watched my now ex to see when she got it but she never picked it up until the reveal. 4. They help each other. 5. Cole knew he wouldn't see Malcolm again. 6. Cole to Malcolm, "How can you help me, if you don't believe me?" "Some magic's real". 7. A fun movie for review of a Bruce Willis is, "The Last Boy Scout". HINT HINT 8. Missing you Bruce.😢
She might have had only one place setting at the restaurant table because, by that point, she had asked the waitstaff to remove the other setting so she didn't even have to look at it and be reminded that he'd stood her up.
Great movie. Scared me to death when I saw it first but I was a kid so... Wanna see y’all watch an actual scary movie. The conjuring or insidious. I like them because they are jump scars , not gore/slasher movies.
I have never seen this movie in it's entirety. I started to watch it years ago and after seeing Bruce Willis get gut shot combined with the kid saying "I see dead people I figured it out. It will be fun to see the Brothers reactions as always tho.
2:55 it is absolutely that easy to purchase a legal gun in the US. Most people can purchase a legal one easier than an illegal one. But the gun Vincent uses it most likely Malcolm's. There's an empty holster on the bedroom floor. It's reasonable to assume if it was brought by Vincent, then the holster would be with the rest of Vincent's belongings on the bathroom floor.
Awesome reaction! I didn't expect a new video so soon! Ya'll are on fire! In Christianity, we don't truly believe in ghosts (though I can't speak for every individual- just the ones I know). When you die, you go wherever God sends you- but you don't stay on Earth. We believe angels and demons are real, though we can't see them. Doesn't mean we don't have our own ghost stories and legends, though. I've heard of the jinn, too. Creatures made of fire. I've heard a number of stories about them. Fascinating. When it comes to the statues Cole had, I think he was trying to create a safe space, like he thought the ghosts couldn't go past them or something. I would call it more superstition than worship, you know? As a Lutheran (another denomination of Christianity), we don't have statues in our churches. We pray only to God, not to the Virgin Mary (nothing but respect for those who do, though). Respect all around, just like Jack Sparrow would say (though he'd say "Drinks all around!"). Sorry for the rambling. I just get so excited watching ya'lls reactions!
I’m a Lutheran too and have many Catholic friends. Christianity is very complicated. The tenants of a religion and how it’s practiced can be interpreted differently. It’s a bit like Sunni and Shia Muslims. But with Christianity you got the Catholics and Protestants and the Prodestants are broken into all kinds of different denomination like Baptists, Methodists, Lutheran. Then there are the Evangelicals. Not to mention the Mormons. But most people are afraid of ghosts.
As a practicing Catholic, I really appreciate the respectful nature of your comment. God created us all in His image and we are united in faith despite how we choose to worship Him ❤️🙏
@@Marianna55776 Aw, thanks! I was there for the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation. We had a joint service with both Lutherans and Catholics. We all stated that what unites us (God) is bigger than what divides us.
@@scifiauthor i absolutely agree. We should celebrate the kindred nature of our beliefs more than we criticise our differences. I’m from Belfast where the divide between Catholics and Protestants couldn’t be more stark (it’s actually an Irish vs British thing - most are sadly atheists on both sides - and the British wanted a way to wash their hands of the civil hatred they created). That’s a whole other story and probably not the response you expected 😂. But my point is; your views are a breath of fresh air and I wish I encountered them more locally.
I finally got to sit down and watch and I was not disappointed. Your reactions were great! I love that the twist in this movie still works and it was a lot of fun to see how the storytelling/filmmaking (like a magic trick with a penny) is so good at imisdirecting and fooling new audiences to this day. I got a big laugh when you referenced Lord of the Rings, but I was also glad to see that the heartfelt emotion between the characters still resonates today. Oh, and thank you for talking about Jinn / Djinn. To answer some of your questions 1) yes, it is that easy to get a gun and that ghost kid probably accidentally shot himself. 2) yes, we’re probably the only country in the world that advertises medicine 3) That was actually the girls mother who poisoned her. There is a real mental illness called “Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy” where caregivers exaggerate, feign, or induce illness in another person for either sympathy or benefit. Fun Facts: Bruce Willis in the 80s was considered a TV comedian until Die Hard in 1988. For most of his career he is recognized as an Action Star but The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Moonrise Kingdom demonstrated he had more range as an actor. Haley Joel Osment and Tony Collette were nominated for acting. M Night Shymalan was nominated for best Director, Writer, and Best Picture. His first 4 films (6 Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, and The Village ) were very strong and you should do reactions. However, his later films started losing quality and a few are considered terrible. His later films The Visit and Split are really great, while Glass was a bit of a let down. Haley Joel Osment wisely didn’t get caught up with the fame and disfunction of Hollywood after the Sixth Sense. He did star in some high profile films, such as “A.I. Artificial Intelligence” (2001) a Steven Spielberg film, but took time off to grow up, go to college, and keep out of the limelight light. He has worked consistently but chosen to smaller films, TV comedies, and voice acting. Keep up the reactions coming 😁
"Its not that easy to get a gun"... Its as easy as walking into a store and purchasing one. Different states might have different regulations, but its legal everywhere in the US.
True I have 3 and wasn’t even trying to get one. One my husband bought me as a gift. A little 22. I took it out and shot a bunch of cans. 2 our parents gave us.
Rofl, I'll never forgive my sister for going to the cinema to see this, coming home and spoiling the plot twist of this movie. It's still a great movie, but still, don't do that :p
That's just mean. I loved how each successive group of people who went to see it encouraged others to go without giving anything away, not even the fact that there is a twist.

The end of this movie blew me away for years. I still am in shock over the ending each time I watch it.
Great reaction
I loved your reactions 😂 you have to watch Signs. The same director directed this movie. He makes the best movies
Since you guys liked Haley Joel Osment (the little boy in this film) so much in this film, you really need to watch "Pay It Forward". He stars in that film also and it is a very touching film that you would really appreciate. You need not do a reaction to it, but you owe it to yourself to watch it!
Brothers. Love ya!
Thanks for reaction! The best child acting performance I have ever seen! Peace and God bless! 😇🙏
what an awesome movie! peak Bruce Willis
I love the outtake/blooper at the end where you guys were speaking Arabic. It was great!! I hope to see more moments like that 😁
One of my absolute favorites... It was cool to see your reaction to it ! What a fun video!
I may enjoy it a little too much when you both get a scare in a movie. Always makes me laugh🤣😁.
You need to react to the movie "Signs." That movie is suspenseful, and it has a twist, and you will NOT see it coming.
Great reaction guys😊
you guys are awesome.
It's so enjoyable to go on this journey with you both.
Stay cool dudes!
Hello 👋! Thanks for the reaction! ❤
The final plot twist fooled EVERYONE (probably anyway).
One of the best movies of all time.
I'm glad you showed the Indian couple shopping for rings. It's a great little moment of comic relief, and acted so well.
Reactors often cut that scene, but I also love that part and would like to see the reaction to it.
Another fantabulous reaction! Love this movie!
Thanks guys, one of my favourite movies
Yes! I’m excited to watch this with you guys! 🎉
The Orphan is a good scary movie. Or The Shining, which is a classic. Would love to see reactions to these. Maybe? Please.
I’m very surprised that you have not watched Dune one and two… brilliant movies, and the desert
Cole didn't see or interact with Vincent in the movie.
@@cindyknudson2715 Ah! Sorry, you're quite right. I muddled up Malcolm with Vincent; don't ask me why. I've corrected it now.
Great reaction guys
Almost thought you figured it out when discussing how he was cold about halfway thru. Most people don't really notice that first time.
The same child actor played a role in the movie "Pay it Forward". I think it's a very heartwarming, emotional movie about what good one person can do if they set their minds to it. (If you two ever decide to do a reaction to that type of Movie)
Great movie! Looking forward to watching with you two 😊
The little kid is in another one of my favorite movies I think you should see, Secondhand Lions
I saw this movie new when it came out i was 5 years old it scared the living hell out of me every time i see this vid my heart races.
This is the only channel im a member of so i don't know what to do 😊
we appreciate you ♥
33:18 "She's having nightmares about him 😄 😆 I like that." You guys like her having nightmares about her child?
1. Haley Joel Osment played Forrestt Gump Jr, in "AI" and absolutely kills in this.🤩
HINT HINT
8. Missing you Bruce.😢
She might have had only one place setting at the restaurant table because, by that point, she had asked the waitstaff to remove the other setting so she didn't even have to look at it and be reminded that he'd stood her up.
@@cindyknudson2715 He wasn't there.
Have you guys watched Prisoners with Hugh Jackman? You definitely should, it's an amazing movie.
This movie………
Got me !! Best plot twist ever.
This movie is soooo good guys!!!! I didn't expect for the husband to be dead!!!!!! NC USA
Request, please watch The Last of the Mohicans. You will not be disappointed.
This is such a good movie!
I love watching these two hajis react
Great movie. Scared me to death when I saw it first but I was a kid so... Wanna see y’all watch an actual scary movie. The conjuring or insidious. I like them because they are jump scars , not gore/slasher movies.
I have never seen this movie in it's entirety. I started to watch it years ago and after seeing Bruce Willis get gut shot combined with the kid saying "I see dead people I figured it out. It will be fun to see the Brothers reactions as always tho.
Doubt it....
Subbed !!!!
Recommend Second Hand Lions. Haley Joel Osmet is in that, too.
*An excellent movie with that little boy is A.I.: Artificial Intelligence.*
Some pain transcends culture. Respect.
I 'm curious to see your reaction to The Exorcist.
Some Christians do see them. I have and the devil is fire too. I know they exist but I only worship God.
You guys are cool
If you guys watch Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon it was kind of the same theme.
Back when the movie was made, it was even easier. No background checks at all.
What a great. Movie
if you look at all the red things through out the movie, the people making the movie where leaving you clues to the fact he was dead.
Hello guys! This is one of my favorite movies. If you watch it again, you will see some signs. But I wonder, when did the kid figure it out?
Which kid? Figure out what?
If you liked Haley Joel Osments acting, Pay It Forward should be a consideration. Then Second Hand Lions.
48:55 cold means ghost are present. not that they are mad
I enjoyed that
"The Exorcist" is a good movie and true.
Let’s watch The Notebook together ❤
Good choice 😊
More M Night Shyamalan movies!
Djinns are super scary.
33:14 this is 100% real you can pick them up on Electronics sometimes..... that's why it goes Hunters use radios or recorders it's called EVP electronic voice phenomenon...... it's not uncommon at all it happens all the time
I recommend Patton. It's a great war movie.
Watch a British film called
Dead man's shoes
It's good
