Was lucky enough to see these two on stage together at Alpine Valley on August 25, 1990, at Stevie's 2nd to last show. They joined Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, and Stevie's brother Jimmie for the encore. What an amazing show, and Stevie was far and away the star of the night. Broke my heart when I heard the following Monday morning that Stevie had been killed in the helicopter crash the next night.
SRV was in low gear here. He never stepped on another musician's toes who he let share the stage with him. He would always let them have their moment to shine. Speaks leaps and bounds to his character. Miss both of them dearly.
Jeff said that he was given a guitar, when he was young and the neck was a bit too big for his left hand so he put the guitar on his lap and a legend was born 🎶🎵 Always love SRV, up on his toes and doing the shaky leg 💚
Lucky enough to see SRV open for Robert plant in 86,dude came out and soloed bye himself for about 15 minutes it was unreal, don't know how plant followed that every night video and radio do no justice for him live good times
My favorite SRV video/song. Two good friends sharing the stage & just having a great time...At the beginning of the song, all the cool lines in the background are coming from Jeff...Two great artists who were gone way too soon!
There is an old MTV video of SRV jamming with Stevie Wonder, Jody Whatley, Salt n Peppa, and a great bass player ( can't remember his name could be a Jackson), and a boy band group...just funking the hell out of Wonders "Superstition". Oh...and SRV is wearing a ....CAPE. Ending with Wonder singing and bopping " We're jamming' on MTV"- REPEAT and on. SRV was having the time of his life holding it down with his tremendous licks.
If you want a treat look up the video Why I Sing The Blues. It has BB King, SRV, Eric Clapton, Dr John and a bunch of other greats. It is worth a look.
Had the privilege of seeing Jeff Healy in a tiny little night club/strip joint in east Toronto long before he was discovered and we were like “Whoa! Who is THIS guy???” ❤❤
Jeff Healey was not a blind guitar player. He was a guitar player who happened to be blind. There's a difference. He's a Legend!! RIP Jeff.
Stevie Ray Vaughan said once that Jeff Healey was the only one that pushed him to do better.
Two greats gone too soon.

I was also there, it was my third time seeing him!
Now how much fun was that?🙌👏😉‼️ It just doesn't get better than that🎸💙🎶💙🎶🎸💯.

He also had mad respect for Jeff, who could hold his own without anyone’s help-class meets class. ❤
Amen to that. I've seen SRV do some nasty things to Little Sister but he was proud to showcase his bro in this one and Jeff CRUSHED it
Pardon me but Jeff Healey is a badass , & he & Stevie were jammin

stevie & jeff....RIP
Two of the greatest!
Jeff said in an interview one time he loved playing with Stevie because it was never a competition it was just music.
He'll yeah I'm so glad you've seen this I wish they were still around. Big fan
Was recorded at one of the old CBC TV Toronto studios downtown which was converted to a bar style room.
Thanks, guys! Yep - look at Jeff! love your reactions!
SRV and Jeff can jam on that guitar 🎸🥁🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥

Man, I wish Stevie and Jeff had done more duets.
Two absolute legends doesn’t happen very often
They say that Stevie discovered Jeff
Jeff has some great music I think you’ll like

It's good 🎉
Have you seen Jeff's 'See the Light' live clip? Nightmusic maybe. TV show. Dr. John on piano. Kicking band, it'll blow your mind. ✨️ 😌 🎶
damn! that put a smile on my face!
Stevie Ray Vaughan with his bag of tricks was looking at Jeff Healy and wondering how he does it.

Stevie discovered Jeff!
🤘😎🤘
I thought they had reacted to this one but they must not have. Ain't they in for a treat.
Jeff Healey album somewhere in my collect. God version of While my Guitar Gently Weeps.
Incredible performance by two legends, but I would love to see a remastered version of the video with better sound

It's fantastic...includes Paul Butterfield on harp, Chaka Kahn, and Albert King also.
Jeff Healey, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Jose Feliciano !
Don't forget Ronnie Milsap!
@@MrTech226 Forgot about Ronnie !
SRV discovered and promoted Jeff Healy ❤
SRV was a good dude :)
If you want something badly enough you will find a way !

Dame Evelyn Glennie is one of the world's foremost percussionists. She's completely deaf. It's true: you don't need ALL of your senses to excel.
Good
Until LED stage lights, it would be like playing under a heat lamp on stage.
Thanks Suzi and Travis love your reaction The best Love ya.💞
If you ever saw the original movie roadhouse with Patrick swayze Jeff Healy band was the house band at the roadhouse bar
React to Victim - Victim please!!!
Stevie tune. Gone too soon
Do you say "blind Stevie Wonder" before his song? Not cool.
Yeah, but Ray gun break dancing, believing she could do something just didn't work, it's not true
This is music, not like the noise you guys make
Love the music, but I cringe at the era where men liked to call women "little girl" and "little sister". Creepy as hell.
Jeff was the house band guitar player in the original Roadhouse. "Ladies and gentlemen the name is Dalton." Yep that's him.
When SRV gives you the stank face…😮
