Mach 3 is a parallel interphase, but you could buy a parallel to USB adaptor I imagine if your controller is USB, I never used anything other than 25 pin cable though. Good luck.
thanks so much sir, please can you help me i installed rotary axis in pins of y axis as my machine setup design is using x- axis , z-axis, y axis as rotary axis and a-axis is tilting spindle head as i have mach3 4 axis not 5. how can i program it or using a definite postprocess which suits my machine design? i'm using powermill
I am not familiar with Autodesk software, so I don't think I can figure out a post processor for it. Sorry I can't be of much help, (other than what I explained on the video). Thanks for the comment and good luck.
Hello, I'm new to mach software. On the screen, it is showed only a 4th axis (only one rotary) but I found in many forums that it can support also the 5th axis. Please help me to understand If you can use the mach3 board for 5 axes and with which software
I am not very knowledgeable on more than 4 axis machining, however yes you can use 5 or more axis with Mach3 providing that you have a control board , to design and generate the g-code you can probably use a program like Fusion 360, or similar. Good luck.
If my controller does not have micro steps, how would the formula be, my machine control it with a richauto a11 ??? what should i do to be able to calibrate the 4th axis
You are going to have to search for specific information about your controller, maybe some RUclips videos on the Richauto a11, seems that this controller uses its own controlling software independent of the computer, I am not familiar with it. So, I'm sorry I ca not help you with it. Good luck!
Thank you sir, Your video helped to setup my rotary axis. Just perfect explanation. You are legend.

Homing of A axis is necessary or not and there will be power loss at the time of working. How to start from the same set point?
I have not thought about homing the A axis, when I get back to my CNC lathe project I'll look in to it. (As soon as I have a place to work).
