WOW! Well done Carrie for making such good films of Afghanistan. My impression of Afghanistan, via Western Media, has been of a country ravaged by war and having absolutely no wealth whatsoever. You have just blown that impression completely out of the water and I thank you so much for that. I honestly thought what appeared on your videos must be of another country but when I checked Terejan International Hotel on Google, it verified it was in Herat. I agree with you that if the Taliban introduced and treated women on an equal basis on every level and every aspect of life, Afghanistan would have so much to offer and be enriched in every way. Your videos will definitely whet the appetite of many travellers and people who are curious about Afghanistan. What a beautiful looking country and so glad to see so much beauty, peace and friendliness. Keep up the good work and thank you also to all the Afghanistans for letting us see their country from a much better and positive perspective. Finally, top marks to the gardeners too in Afghanistan. Hi. I'm from the UK. I don't think it's always because we shown images of war - but what I'm surprised about is how modern and Westernised so far [Kabul and Herat] it looks with the choice of goods in the shops. I thought all this was against the Taliban's ethos? Or is Carrie only going to places that the Taliban want the West to see? What about all the stories we hear about the abuse of women - not allowed education or going to work?

@@carriepatsalis Hi , there are two fantastic places you should definitely pay a visit and show it to the world, the feel unreal, First place is band-e-sabzak too beautiful And the second place is called band-e-bughor cher(بغر چر )
Absolutely beautiful place. Just proves that the people of Afghanistan aspire for the same dreams and aspirations as people the world over. They have made a lot of progress in a short space of time. Incredibly clean streets, friendly people. Never ever thought I would consider visiting Afghanistan. This has completely changed my mind. I wonder if there are separate places for women only that are run by women and it’s mainly women who know where they are. After all women like their pampering and will find a way😊
Honestly I think it could be an exciting place soon.. it’s changing.. I saw seeds of change that were lovely .. they need to shift on hardline ideas like girls education and women’s rights (plus odd things like banning music 😅) they are the big giveaways that things are regressive rather than progressive .. but if they sort this quick which I think they could.. they will gain international respect.. more tourism.. a stronger economy. Do I think they can do it? Yes I do.
@@carriepatsalis 100%. The IEA do say they will eventually allow education for women however they are working to change the curriculum which was set previously by Americans, to something that is correct according to the Islamic laws and values - shariah. Can I ask what you mean by women's rights? Some opinion and views differ within Islam but majority say that music is haram (prohibited) so thats why it's banned as according to the shariah. Hope you can understand the reason for these and hope you had a great time in Afghanistan!
Well education to a high level is a human right.. it’s also in the Quran, so Islam promotes education. My understanding of Islam is that it doesn’t force people to do things, it’s a kind and understanding religion. So the idea of forcing a music ban doesn’t seem Islamic to me, it seems a human interpretation. Music is an integral parting any culture.. Afghan music is wonderful and it was sad that culturally things are being changed by humans for what I see as the wrong reasons. As a planet we should let people practise their faith without force.. I believe that’s a guiding principle of Islam too.
who defines human rights? White man in the west? who gave the white man the right determines human rights? we muslims do not accept the concept of human rights defined in the west, we have the islamic system of human rights which states the rights of women and men and their responsibilities, we do not need the white man's definition. the Koran does not talk about secular education, the Koran talks about religious education, not about secular ones, Muslims in the West have instilled in you false ideas about Islam, Islam is not a religion of peace and goodness, Islam is a religion of justice. who told you that the Koran does not force Muslims to comply with their obligations? Islam is a religion that has its own system of laws that a person must obey, the Koran says that non-Muslims cannot be forced to accept Islam, and about Muslims the Koran says that a believer has no other choice when making decisions if Allah and his messenger have made a decision. the laws and rules of Islam are not determined by what seems to you or me, the rules in Islam are determined by the Almighty, Islam is a political religion, music is prohibited in Islam, there are reliable hadiths about this, hadiths are the second source of Islam. if a culture is contrary to Sharia law, then such culture should be thrown out, and where did you get the idea that music is prohibited in Afghanistan? Yes, music is prohibited, but where? in public places, but no one forbade you to listen to music at home, in the car or even at a wedding, besides, Western music corrupts Muslims. who told you that you can’t force people to observe religion? where did you get this from and on what basis, that’s why we Afghans don’t like Europeans when they impose their ideologies on us, it’s like the relationship between a slave and a master, the master is the White man in the west, and the slaves are the rest of the world, if the white man said that this is not acceptable, it means it is unacceptable, we are Muslims and we do not have to live according to the rules of the white man in the West

First place is band-e-sabzak too beautiful
And the second place is called band-e-bughor cher(بغر چر )
Brilliant. You're such a kind soul
Thank you Nigel ☺️
Yes I do.
@@carriepatsalis you have such a positive vibe. Love it❤️
@@carriepatsalis 100%.
