    After adding the flour and other ingredients will the plaster be waterproof ? If not is polyurethane something that can be used to coat it?

    Any idea how to fix it?

    How long will this clay last? And will the things made with it not get mould later on?

    • @spiritualkicksrt
      @spiritualkicksrt 2 года назад +1

      Video says it hardens in 24 hours and make small batches. I would think you would want to only make what you can use in one art session. I would probably have hard molds handy and use the rest of the clay in the molds and use baby oil as a mold release in tighter molds. Not sure you could paint it if you use oil to release. I am thinking, cake ball molds for cabochons and no oil needed.

      If you paint it with at least 3 coats of a weather proof varnish, like marine varnish or something similar, it will be okay to use outside.

    • @221b-Maker-Street
      @221b-Maker-Street Год назад +1

      All of the clay will shrink a little, yes - purely due to evaporation as it dries. A bit like a slice of bread left out overnight!

      Your clay didn't dry well/ fast enough I guess that's why it's mouldy. Once the clay dried and sealed with mod podge or varnish it will stay as it is for long.
