Great video, would be nice to see a full overview of how to configure this device on a single pc setup, specially showing how the routing is done for different scenarios, I have not seen a good video about that yet. Cheers.
Thanks so much for this review/ walk-thru of the duo. Best I've seen and it's helped make up my mind about getting the Duo. Need to know there are a couple of ways of recording 'out-of-studio' guests...via those USBs (for Zoom/ PCs) and Bluetooth phone. Great work, much appreciated,
If you're pretty much a solo creator, I think it's definitely worth it, as far as everything you can do with it to take your streams to the next level! As of right now, I don't think you can use the USB headset but you can use a headset that has a mic jack.
Just starting my channel and am about to start recording. I have 2 cameras and 2 mics, do you record the audio and video with the duo? If so I assume both cameras and both mics can plug in and get one recording?
How could I connect 2 turntables and a microphone for a disco night. If so, can I fade 1 turntable across to another? (Currently using a very old Realistic mixer) I also have the rode wireless go 2
hey wassup man, just got mine in today! would you be down to help me setting this thing up in obs discord all that, i’m tryna get my stream started. lmk i can pay whatever bossman 🤙🏼
I’m debating on getting the duo but I’m not sure I missed it at one point in the video, does this have live mic monitoring like the goxlr did? Because I prefer to be able to live monitor my mic
@@waltjennette Thanks Walter, you are a mind reader, Yes I am a Solo creator... I am getting it. Keep up the good work, your latest video - Re Samson Q2U + Iphone looks like a game changer. Thanks Once again
Do you think the Rodecaster Duo is worth it?
maybe
If you're solo, it's absolutely worth it.
just purchase my duo, delivery is tomorrow, thank you for the walkthrough.

This was a GREAT overview. Thank you!

Great video, I learn a lot from you, thanks
Thank you! I’m glad to hear it!!!
I have the original Rodecaster but love the footprint of this Duo.
It's definitely much more suitable for a desk setup.
Thanks for the walkthrough. I'm still not sure if it'll work for me. I'll be looking out for future videos!
We do know what you’re saying.
Do you find those Smart Pads too stiff? I wonder if Rode intentionally build it that way or a defect on mine =.="
I can't say that mine are too stiff. Light pressure activates them just fine.
can you connect the streamer X to the rodecaster duo?
You can use the Duo as an output for the Streamer X to monitor inside of the Unify software.
can we use 2 3 4 channel mic or intrument but for Virtual output like GAME , Browser , musique , SYSTEM you know ?
Any of the channels can be assigned and changed. As far as Virtual channels, you get 3 Virtual Channels.
Thank you so much…
Love the video was thinking about getting the due. Is it worth for streaming on twitch. Also have usb headset so not sure if I’ll able to use the due

I love the Røde Caster Pro 2. I have 4 mic and I’m by myself I just hate having to switch mic cos all my
Mic have their unique sound. That’s just me
I definitely feel you on that. Unless I’m doing some testing, I’m only really using 1 mic at a time so it doesn’t bother me too much!

I do all of my recording into Ecamm live but I also record a backup on the Duo.
Can you record samples on the fly like the GoXLR?
Yes you can! I actually didn’t show the actual process but I did play some of the ones I recorded myself!

I run an output from my Pioneer DJ mixer to one of the combo jacks on the Rodecaster Duo and control it like that.
Bro how do I hear my effects from my smart pad???
Do you have the volume turned up for that channel?

Yes. You have 3 headphone jacks for monitoring.
Great video as usual, what would you say I do video podcaster on RUclips, would you recommend the Streamer X for audio and Video.
If you want the simplest setup, then yes, the Streamer X is a definite go2. You get all in one solution.
@@waltjennette Thank you for the clarification, I was thinking of the Streamer X for my Video and Audio Podcast needs
@@jawiginla if you’re solo, it’ll be a good fit!
