We know what happened to Senna in Monaco... I'm surprised you don't know. He was so in the zone he felt like he was watching himself, from above, drive the car so incredibly good. And then the team came on the radio and told him to slow down. He then fell out of that zone, and crashed.
In 2016 you forgot to mention Hamilton cutted the chicane, leaving the track and rejoining in a dangerous way, for same thing Vettel was penalized in Canada 2019, unlike him …
The Riccardo Tyre incident is deadset inexcusable. This is meant to be the peak of motor racing and as they don’t add fuel anymore you have to wonder what everyone was waiting for… like your only job at that point it tyres and you can’t see any
It's interesting: "Raikkonen's slightly less worn tyres...." - mmm. Why? Did he have a secret advantage? Mmm? No - Hammy overdrove and blew it. Just because you're a Brit (as I am ) doesn't mean you need to abandon your critical faculties....
Newey's good, but there's a bit of cherry-picking of facts going on here. Let's balance it out. Williams had success before him, and the engine deals had great impact. Since Williams and Head were, in fact, in charge, why shouldn't the success of the '90s be more down to them? What happened with McLaren after '99, while Newey was still there, and how did they do (on track, not in court) in '07/'08 after he'd left?
Further - What Moss did defined "sportsmanship". You lot bemoan how awful drivers are - well - when they were honest and brilliant, you suggest that they were twats? what?
What you saw at Williams you now see at RedBull! Keep a close eye on Aston Martin in 2025 and especially in 2026 when the new rules come into effect in Formula 1. Anyway, I expect Max Verstappen to stop with Formula 1 at the end of this season
Sorry - But Hmailton's (and McLaren's) massive fail should have been primo - Mumero Uno - Maximal embarrassment difficulty - hubris, arrogance etc etc... :-)
2007 was a stitch up for McLaren, because of Spygate and that Ferrari had threatened to sue both McLaren and the FiA if they didn’t win both the WCC and WDC that year. The WCC was easily sorted because the FIA could simply DSQ McLaren - which it did despite proving that McLaren had not actually used any of the data, that McLaren informed the FIA within 2 week of getting it, despite Renault having the same data, but avoiding any penalty, etc, etc. The WDC was more difficult (especially the lead Hamilton had), so Dennis had to basically sabotage Hamilton and the easiest way to do that was messing with his tyre strategy. As demonstrated by Hamilton’s tyres being down to the canvass. It also explains why McLaren didn’t pit Alonso in the final race to bump Hamilton position, assuming of course Alonso would have pitted. It was a complete sh*t in the final 4 races. Just another orchestrated championship to add the list. The last being 2021.
I Love it!!! Hamilton didn't screw the pooch! His tyres failed him and unexpectedly he burried it in gravel. If this was Lance Stroll, the memes would be explosive - but - It's a black guy who's English so - mmmm - what a shame. The sport let him down. Sad face.
@@scottliu6679 Down to the car - Yet he also managed to finish 2nd to his teammate in a two car championship in 2016, how many times has Alonso lost a title to his teammate ? None
Yet he couldnt beat the rookie hamilton. Both are great, Hamilton outperformed alonso in his first year, regardless if they backed him or not, a 2x wdc should have done better @gilles2798
Anyway, FIA told McLaren that they can not win the 2007 championship because they benefited from drawings leak of Ferrari. The last 2x races are suspicious...

Legend has it that Riccardo is still waiting for his tyres to this day.

That's what I've been saying since I've first seen that incident. Somehow, you're the first person I've found so far who shares the opinion.
@@jippie1931 It's not an opinion. It was mentioned in one of the videos/films I've seen about Senna. Sadly I can't remember which one.
You should use the crash DC caused at Spa. The single most expensive mistake in F1 history was created by DC.
There have been many world champions. There has only been one Sir Stirling Moss.
I've got the Monoco diamond right here! 😅

DEI decisions.
Doesn’t matter in the end he lost the championship
"cutted"?
You gotted an education?
Cutted?
An education is more importanter

Coulthard, Monza pole, on warm-up lap he visits the wall.
... and on purpose
The picture of Moss and the other guy is NOT Hawthorne - it's Peter Collins - a very decent guy... get it right. It's not that hard

Ferrari won the constructors title in 99
Sportsmanship is what MV lacks in spades

At @3:49 what is in that young man's ear. The one wearing gloves. Looks like a hearing aid of some kind but in 1958.
I would guess simple earplugs to protect the drivers hearing and that Stirling Moss had not got round to taking both out post race.

Are you on that special crack rock stuff? Your other 3 comments are being used as evidence and the jury is pretty close to a guilty verdict
Mclaren’s mistake was backing the rookie instead of backing Alonso !
And then the rookie went on to win 7 championships…

@@sebparent3501 Yeah of course, if Kimi had broken down in the last race then Alonso would have won the championship! 🤔🤷♂️
