The layering and attention to detail is what makes this look so realistic. I love your teaching style visual and verbal for all type of learners. Everything so well thought out.
I tried doing a cardboard and fiberglass version about 12 years ago based off Sid Garrand's (Nightmare Studios) design but it was ultimately a failure and the project was abandoned.
@@Hyperguyver2 Yeah sid's is badass I got to see it a loooong time ago hopefully this will get a few that have always wanted some gears armor to give it a shot
@@SKSPropsthis was a big struggle when I was getting into cosplay, I could not find anybody who made gears armor who was willing to share templates and offer guides, so I decided to wing it and make one myself. It's not perfect but I'm proud I made it from scratch. I just wished I learned how to scale and share my templates.
Some sections might be a little harder to manipulate. Also you might have to adjust the size of some of the patterns to account for the added thickness. but it should be fine.
Question, how do you make those templates? Handmade blueprints with references, retopology from 3D models, you are secretly the one true forger of every armor designs..? And would you be willing to share your trade secrets

Thank you! This is definitely the most detailed and intricate series to date! 🙌
Oooof! So much detail. And you went all the way through the alphabet and beyond. Wow! It's looking amazing, Steve! Thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you Rex! Definitely an exhausting and detailed build. But I’m excited to see others make their own 🙌🙌
BLESS YOU MY DUDE. THIS HAS BEEN ON MY COSPLAY BUCKET LIST AND NOW i CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE FOAM AND GET STARTED ON IT!
Awesome! Glad I can help 🙌
@@SKSProps ARE YOU GOING TO BE GOING OVER PAINTING AS WELL AS MAKING THE LIMB ARMOR?
@@rinwindish3285 always do
@@SKSProps WOOOO!!!
That detail work looks amazing, even without the paint! Thanks for another great video!
Thanks man! I’m excited to see others tackle it. And looking forward to adding all of the rivets and battle damage
Fantastic job, this build is making focus more on details vs just the build in my current project. Thanks Steve!
Thanks! And your welcome Phil 🙌
Thank you for all your time and effort you put into these awesome tutorials.
You’re welcome 🙌
Made it to AA, neat. That is super detailed.
Gears armor isn’t playing around 🤣
What an amazing armor!!
Thank you! 🙌
I wonder if you'll make the COG helmet, preferable Anthony Carmine's
Nope, Marcus doesn’t wear a helmet and that’s the set I’m going for
Amazing work!
Thank you! 🙌🙌
It’s looking amazing

I wish these videos were available about 10 years ago
When researching I was shocked to see no one has ever done a video on gears cosplay. Then I started filming all of the details needed 🤣🤣

I love these details!!!
Also, random: but how do you keep your fingers so free of glue? lol
Thanks! Oh there not 🤣 check around part W I’ve got superglue all over my fingers! I have to take a break and remove before I continue to film
@@SKSProps How do you remove the superglue? Sorry, genuinely curious.
@@RoseDeNoire run hands under warm to hot water for a bit. Causes fingers to sweat and slightly swell and makes it easier to pick the glue off
@@SKSProps damn, lol, it's so obvious once you read it! Thank you so much!
Excelente 😍😍😍😍😍👏
🙌
i have 8mm instead of 6 would it make much of a difference

but it should be fine.
thanks!
You’re welcome 🙌
Hey hello I really like your content and I think u could try do a master chief cosplay from halo
Nope, I won’t ever do halo because they use pepakura go to the 405th website all of the files are there
Question, how do you make those templates?
Handmade blueprints with references, retopology from 3D models, you are secretly the one true forger of every armor designs..?
And would you be willing to share your trade secrets
Watch the video I put out not long ago on how I prototype my costumes. All of my templates are hand drawn on poster board
How much of each mm would I need for this project?
Sheet of each size 2,4,6,10mm as well as a pack of round dowels should be fine
@@SKSProps Thank you so much! I've always wanted to have some gears cosplay and I finally decided I'll just make my own!
😮
🙌
Hey could you make a Five Nights at Freddy’s video pls I haven’t seen a lot of foam FNAF videos.
