Michael Jacskon had everyone around him but a traveling Psychotherapist, which is what he really needed because these other people just did whatever he said.
They have done studies with low dose propofol for resistant insomnia and it has potential for this purpose. The smallest boulus dose and infusion is best practice which is possibly why Murray did it in the way he did but after the initial injection you would need to sustain this state with benzodiazepines. Sleep maintained primarily through an anesthetic is not actual sleep and by passes the deeper stages of stage 4 and REM sleep which has a host of side effects in relation to such a practice.
@@tripical I could be wrong but I think it matters on the level of sedation with propofol being the strongest. The study I saw was with insomnia resistant ppl in the ICU and I believe they initiated sedation with propofol but maintained sleep with the lowest dose of midazolam. Seems somewhat similar to Murray's approach...I'm still fascinated by this case and did lots of research at the time.
most medical malpractice litigation involves anaesthetists because anaesthesia is a very risky procedure for all of us, so it seems incredible that a patient can take anaesthetics to sleep. Shocking.
Read about the effects of sleep deprivation over like a week and you'll come to understand why Michael Jackson was so desperate to sleep by any means necessary. Nobody should have helped him get to the point where he was at his death. Horrific.
@@thedarkstranger963 Yes, he did. But if someone couldn't sleep for days, they's be desperate. They wouldn't really have the capacity to think clearly either. What I don't understand is why doctors couldn't treat his insomnia. Even Lisa Marie said when she was with him, Michael wouldn't sleep for 4 days straight. I imagine it got worse afterwards what with the pile of abuse allegations and crippling anxiety. If someone was thirsty enough, they'd do anything for water. Wouldn't it be the same with sleep, something necessary for us?

I honestly believe MJ played a major part in his own death, even though the Dr should've said no, no matter if that would've gotten him fired or whatever, saving a person's life should always mean more than money, but in this world it doesn't
I agree. But in the addiction esp for pain patients is an uphill battle. And I say that because ultimately HE was the only one who could save himself. It's not hateful to say the truth. exactly. giving someone any GABA drugs can shut your consciousness off but won’t allow true REM sleep or rest
