I’m going to be blunt. Masa’s style of running counts and being a hard out is 100% necessary for the bottom 3rd of this lineup. He’s an excellent piece and he’s owed an apology for how he was treated this season. His contract aside (it’s an overpay) he is the type of player that you need to win a 5 or 7 game series. I love macho man in this lineup he makes Ceddy better and as we saw he wears pitchers down
I love Yoshi. The hate comes from the fact that he is a well paid DH with a .666 OPS and 3 homers. To date, he is probably one of the worst DH in the MLB this season. Only Dom Smith and Reese McGuire have a worse OPS on the team. Last 2 weeks, he has shown signs of progress which is good to see. But he receives criticism because he has been bad at baseball this season. Pretty straight forward. I think he will get it rolling though and he will finish strong.
@@Michael-tj5bk Eh I think he will or at least as an average bat. He was an above average hitter in his first year. Last season he was playing everyday and just broke down. MLB is 10x more difficult than Japanese baseball where every away game is just a bus ride away. He has been solid the last couple weeks. He should finish strong in these last 6 games than he gets a week off for All Star break. Come back from the all star break and keep it going. Being on a competitive team should help too. Only time will tell.
