The worst thing the Yankees endured this year was that win streak. Before, Jomboy already stated that these Yankees are not contenders and coped. Then they go on a tear and it convinced the Jim’s and Jake’s of the world that these Yanks are scary. But they obviously were not. Every player other than Stanton and Judge underperformed. They need consistent bats and soon. Just look at the Giants. They can throw 8 straight .800 OPS batters in a row. No easy outs anywhere.

SF is in another world. They got bench guys that can rake as well. 10 guys with 10+ HRs, 9 with 15+ HRs. They don't have a weak 3 man bench like most MLB teams who just gather up arms. It's one thing looking at the stats with SF, and it's another thing when you see them. They can adjust to any move. I binged them for several weeks this year. They set up their guys to optimize success unlike the Yankees who just generically do what the numbers say and hope for success. Two teams that approach analytics in totally different ways.

@@KTF0 SF has a team of over performers and last stabs at glory. And the postseason is silly and streaky. No telling where this season will end up, but saying that any team other than the Dodgers don't have any weak spots is silly. And I am a Boston fan and desperately don't want to see Mookie get another ring, even if the first one didn't really count.

I’m a Cardinals fan and I’m not the biggest fan of the Yankees but I can truly sympathize with you right now. I’m beyond tired of the Dodgers and hope the Giants sweep them in the NLDS.

It was apparent to Yankee fans mid season that something was wrong.
They played a good stretch of baseball and should be proud.
    Changes coming soon

We missed LeMahieu and Voit, that’s for sure. I’ll personally be hoping that Cole just wasn’t 100% from his injury. Time to cut bait with Gardner; fuck Joey Gallo; need to take a serious look at Gio and Gleyber. Enough moneyball shit, cashman. Just get good players.
And idk maybe it’s time for Boone to go. Cole was clearly floundering and he took himself out of the game before Boone pulled him. He just doesn’t seem like he has the ability to psych the team up when the going gets tough, and his decision-making on pitching is shaky to say the least. Those are the two main responsibilities of a manager, and he seems to be mediocre at best in both areas. You can spend as much money as you want on a car, but if the ignition doesn’t work you’re shit out of luck anyway.

Cole is cold without his spider tac.
Yanks pay him 30 million per year and he lasted only 2 innings in the playoffs. Biggest contract ripoff in MLB history.

Yankees need to bring facial har back so Cole can hide his sticky stuff in the beard like Eovaldi does. Eovaldi was stroking his face all game and the umps only looked at his glove.

Don't worry, the home plate ump was calling ankle-balls strikes when the Yankees were in the field. ALL those check-swings were ruled go-arounds, too. The Yanks probably lost because DJ LeMahieu wasn't in the line-up. The Sox kept pitching to Stanton, which was completely stupid. The green-monster took 2 of his home-runs away, but it was stupid to pitch to him in the first place. I would have WALKED his A$$ to first base everytime he came to the plate.

Lmao typical Yankee fan blaming sticky stuff when their ace was the one with the totally embarrassing video of him tripping over his tongue when questioned(Ya know, after his numbers dropped off a cliff during the start of the substance ban). Hold this L for me.

Man I've seen so many yankees fans making excuses after this game... it basically boils down to "if the yankees hit better and scored more runs they could've won the game!!!!" lmao. Only one who needs sticky stuff is cole, he's nothing without it

@@TheCyberMantis the umps were consistently bad with the check swings for both teams. there were so many pitches that hit the strike zone but Higgy can't frame a pitch to save his life - I would walk Stanton every time up too - especially since he can't run and Gallo is hitting behind him
