    Thank you so much. I'm doing qualitative study on gender and value chain cooperative management in Cameroon. I had no clue on what to do with audio sessions on focus group discussions i had. But after going through your video and the research work you put online, alot of issues became clear to me. Thank you.

    I am also looking for a better PowerPoint presentation template for my research paper. Would be grateful if you could share a link or a template for a more professional presentation.

    Is member checking a necessary step in validating the data? I could see it being impractical when it's a long transcript, for example, covering 1.5 hours worth of content or when the participants are especially busy people (doctors). I really don't see it happening.

    • @qualitativeresearcher
      @qualitativeresearcher  2 года назад +1

      it is just an option, not a requirement. As you said, there are many possible issues with it, for this reason I do not always use it

    Is it possible to have an online interview considering the face-to-face limitations imposed by pandemic? I'm currently writing a qualitative study

      Of course, it's been a thing for a while and, understandably, online interviewing has gained popularity in recent months

    Hello Sir! New subscriber. I am currently writing a qualitative research about the "Lived Experiences of COVID-19 Recovered Patients". Thus, I am to ask for their "experiences" for the whole COVID-19 journey. We are done with the interview and now currently stuck on the transcription of the data. What approach can you recommend for me to use Sir? I hope you can notice me Sir. I have a hard time since it is my first time to write a quali study.🙏🙏🙏 I will patiently wait for your response sir.

      don't worry about the approach - transcribe things as they sound to you. You do not need time stamps or anything that detailed, just type everything as it sounds. You may also indicate longer pauses, if they happen (I mean really long ones when it is obvious , for example, that someone is struggling, etc.), or their voice breaking down, etc. - anything that indicates that they are talking about something particularly sad. Common sense, try to use your common sense to reflect in the transcript what the interview "felt" like
