20 years ago Hydroxycut was popular with my unit in Germany. It actually contained ephedrine which is now banned but wow that stuff would keep you going for 48 hours on a field exercise.
Pre workouts used to be like this - craze , jack3d etc . They were good because they had substances in them that now make them illegal ( Craze had Dexedrine and Jack3d had 1,3 DMAA ) Those were the good days ! You would get energy/ a mind set that was similar to coke or speed . I remember training so hard my arms gave out beneath me on a final set of pushups . Mentally I could keep on pushing forever but my arms just wouldn’t respond as they were so fucked . All the current pre workouts are just sugar and caffeine .... like a redbull . Add a few dumb slogans and sell it in a tub for $60 !
Didn’t know 1,3 DMAA is illegal I have a whole bag of that stuff lying around lol the new stuff isn’t entirely ineffective the beta alanine still gets you wired

I've taken preworkout like no x plode it's not that good. You can take creatine and b vitamins such as niacin and drink lots of water before workouts and it works just as well. Basically that's what pre workout is except the caffeine
I miss Jack3D hahahaha. I remember Muscletech had the popular stack but it was before the concentrated powders were popular so you took like 6 preworkout horsepills, 8 intra, and 6 post. HOLY fuck was it sick.
