Are you crazy? You can learn this is in a few months. It's a matter of studying notes and repetitive exercises (15 minutes a day each, in 1 year you will know the basics and decide on your own how fast you want to progress). Your failure is to THINK guitar is hard. Jesus get your act together, guitar is maybe the easiest instrument.
